So if you're not fimiliar with this right now, there is currently a law named SISEA (Stop Internet Sexual Exploitation Act) that is being proposed by two senators, one Republican and one Democrat, which if passed, could endanger internet porn as we know it.

According to this article, https://www.dailydot.com/debug/sisea-internet-porn/, "If it passes, internet porn could disappear entirely or, more likely, move to servers in foreign countries and the dark web, where protections are fewer and the content more insidious".

It also says that hosts to sites will need a consent form in order to operate or a $1,000/day fine could be placed on the site's host/hosts. They are also banning the downloading and the re-uploading of pornographic content. From what I can gather now, this will only affect sites that are based in the United States, as I am not sure if they will even be able to enforce this on an international level if passed.

From what I'm hearing, this is all fallout from Trafficking Hub and the New York Times Op-ed (which can be found here: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/04/opini...cking.html).

Now, I am not a lawyer. I do not know the full extent of this bill that is being proposed. Currently, I am hearing some people say it's separate from the recent COVID-19 Stimulus Bill while others, including that article, are saying it's not. Either way, this is really scary and the fact that it's already bipartisan, meaning it's agreed upon by both parties and in this case, it was proposed by a member of both parties, is really concerning.

Here is another article talking about the bill: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020...rk-online/

And here is where you can read the bill for yourself: https://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/u...EC2020.pdf

Could this mark the beginning of the end to this site and Internet Porn as a whole?

Jeez, I hope not! I’m definitely going to keep an eye on this as the situation developed just in case. I do believe it could potentially threaten certain Constitutional Rights such as to privacy and speech. I believe they’ll crackdown on sites that frequently display CP, sometimes without the site even knowing.

Considering our forum has a teenage pregnancy section, I’d advise again that word of caution to the staff. This is a real issue, and if the legislation passed then it will endanger the community we’ve built. I don’t think people should jump ship now, but everyone should keep this in mind going forward.

The government in the US can’t do anything about international porn unless it is consumed or created in the US if this passes. So, it looks like torrents might be become mainstream just for viewing regular porn if this went through. Korea has some sort of ban on pornography, I believe.

Overall, I’d have to again motivate people to keep on top of this topic if they value their freedoms entitled to them. As @Bellyfan27 said, bipartisanship is a real danger to us. It used to just be the religious right that wanted to crack down on porn. Now, it could reach across the aisle because of the exploitation and human trafficking of children. Ironically, this is an issue I study and research myself in a professional manner. And by taking away porn, most of my fellow academics believe it’ll just get worse and harder to find. It’s very much like the “War on Drugs”. Will we see a “War on Porn”? Maybe, but I hope not. I stand prepared to purge my accounts if such a day comes. Too risky. Especially when people have the unwarranted belief that maiesiophilia equates to pedophilia in some way.

Stay safe everyone, and keep in mind what you do in the internet. Not everything can be deleted...

Apparently, the Great Porn Hub Content Purge Of 2020 was only the beginning. The pure and holy high horse-riding people have been attempting to shut down the porn industry for years. Now it appears that they may have finally succeeded. I fear widespread panic across all adult based websites. The reach of what is happening will be felt by adult content creators and the people who consume their work. Sites like Deviant Art will be forced to ban all adult based content. The remaining pron sites such as XHamster will start dumping content similarly to what porn hub did. Unfortunately, the fetish community will also be affected. We may look for this site one day and find it gone. Webcam sites like Chaturbate will also be affected. Who knows what the future holds but one thing I do know is that what this bill seeks to do is upsetting. The only thing we can hope for is it does not pass. Hopefully, there will be enough opposing voices in the government who will recognize how unconstitutional this bill is and put a stop to it. In the meantime, I suggest we guard our hard drives with our lives because there may come a day when they are all we have left to get our fix of content.

Keep safe my friends.

Move all porn websites' servers to lawless shitholes like Somalia when?

Remember, you can't enforce a government ban when there is no government Smile

Ironic you say that considering Somalia was one of the last countries to even get an ISP, and are bottom-tier compared to the rest of the world.

But back to the subject, best case this bill won't get passed. Worst case....yeah better start saving what you like. I've been saying it for years and now whatever you have saved may have to hold you over for a long time.

Here's the official proposal summary: https://www.sasse.senate.gov/public/_cac...act-3-.pdf

Key components of the legislation:

Require platforms hosting pornography to, within two weeks of enactment:

Require any user uploading a video to the platform verify their
identity

Require any user uploading a video to the platform also upload a
signed consent form from every individual appearing in the video.

So these two already will kill off Preggophilia.

Creates a private right of action against an uploader who uploads a pornographic image without the consent of an individual featured in the image.

Require platforms hosting pornography include a notice or banner on the website instructing how an individual can request removal of a video if an individual has not consented to it being uploaded on  the platform

Meaning that you'll get more than a pissed off woman if she finds out that her video gets posted elsewhere.

Prohibit video downloads from these platforms, to be in place within three months of enactment of this legislation.

Just like Taco said, get ready to download for your life.

Require platforms hosting pornography offer a 24-hour hotline staffed by the platform. Individuals who contact the hotline can request removal of a video that has been distributed without their consent.

Require removal of flagged videos as quickly as possible, but not to exceed 2 hours.

Require platforms to use software to block a video from being reuploaded after its removal. The platforms must have this software in place within six months of enactment of this legislation.

Directs the Federal Trade Commission to enforce violations of these requirements.

Creates a database of individuals that have indicated they do not consent. The database must be checked against before new content can be uploaded to the platforms. o Instructs the Department of Justice to promulgate rules on where this database should be housed, and determine how to connect these victims with services, to include counseling and casework.

Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a civil penalty to the platform, with proceeds going towards victims services.

Seeing how short staffed this site is, this is the final nail in the coffin if it gets passed.

I've already started buying additional HDDs since Google Drive/MEGA will get wiped out as well, and I am going to preserve the hell out of this site and all other porn sites as long as I can. I advise whoever is reading this to do so as well

So this is almost like Krypton-> before you are born, you will already have a career. You can't change it. Going against it will result in imprisonment (or banishment from our planet.)

So the government wants us to be controlled like robots. Here's what's next: there will be a bill on how people will be dressing. Meaning-> everything deamed sexy, revealing & inappropriate will be banned unless you pay the government to wear it. Music that isn't clean will be banned (or only clean versions will be available), weaves & fake nails, fake hair & implants will be deamed illegal (I'm fine wit dat), TV & movies that's not G or PG will be removed and nothing can he made unless it's G or PG. Imagine a life where only G rated TV is available. No other shows. Actors would have to do kids TV & movies or retire. Strip clubs would close. They will eventually ban sex workers because: we all know parents don't raise their daughters and sons to be sex workers.

Soon: anyone living in a bad neighborhood will require ID on their person at all times or they will be shot on site. Next (supposed to be done long ago): everyone has a tracking chip on them that can't be damaged & tampering with it gets you a big ass fine & 10 years in jail. Then the government will know your location. The location will be available to all family. Next comes: a chip that literally stops girls from having sex until 18. That chip will give your neck & privates a shock that makes you in pain until your urge to kiss & have sex is gone.

Lastly (should've been done long ago): there will be a ban on teen pregnancy & they cant keep the baby. Then pregnancies wont be legally allowed until a woman has a degree or certification. Then after that we are like robots. The only thing that we could do without them knowing are taking a crap or piss without them knowing.

Exactly, so they'll love it when a bunch of Americans ship their servers over there and invest to set up new infrastructure.
