On cursory review, this seems extremely unlikely to pass given the implications it would have for moneyed, politically-connected internet platforms. It would impact more than just porn sites. I'd also imagine there would be grandfathering for existing content. In the worst case scenario, the site would simply be hosted elsewhere.

Taking SESTA/FOSTA as an example, there's a site called LeoList which operates in Canada. It does exactly what Backpage used to do -- without issue -- because it's hosted in a separate jurisdiction. And again, this is the absolute worst case scenario and assumes the bill in its current form actually passes. Silly proposals like this arise once in a while, whether in the US or the UK, and fail.

Even if the bill does pass without modification, which strikes me as exceedingly unlikely, this does not represent an existential threat to Preggophilia. The entire adult industry would shift to other jurisdictions for hosting -- the site isn't going to disappear.

This appears to be more impactful on individuals seeking to upload content that is not their own more so than original content.

It also targets the consumer as well, since they wish to block downloads. That’s why I’m already prepping for the worst anyhow. Lost my hard drive back in February and have been putting it off until I had a reason to update my cloud.

This can be easily remedied with browser extensions. I've been using a handful of video downloading tools for years now for sites that either blocks downloads or wants you to pay for the ability to do so.

Yeah, but I have to be extra careful and alert about this because I am connected to law enforcement with my profession.

I mean cops watch porn too. You're not going to be arrested or blackballed from your profession for looking at fetish porn. Also just use a VPN if you're concern about getting caught.

Yeah, I do when I need to. Though, I’m more concerned as to how this form of legislation pertains to warrants/search and seizure of assets. As someone who uploads and downloads content to this site, it’s something I keep in mind. VPNs are useful until law enforcement gets the “go-ahead” from a Judge, and then they can track down the ISP to get a track on the data. The company you use could then hand over the proper information law enforcement would need. They do this all the time when tracking people who look for CP across the net. Considering PornHub is a site who’s trying to prevent this from happening to them, I’ve been wondering what would come up here.

Phil and the Admin do an amazing job, each day. I’ve enjoyed this forum for years and am glad they have a plan set in place. As long as the teen section remains SFW, which I have confidence it will since the staff is so vigilant here to issues along with our community. I might disagree with it being here, but I trust the staff to handle things if they ever go awry.

I’m not going to advocate or take any side of this problem that has come to us. Yes, I do think that we need to curb and or stop child pornography, but at the same time we are hurting other forms of pornography as well. I know that this site is solely dedicated to pregnancy but while reading some stories on how we interact with some of the models it’s hard to paint a clear future for us. I know that Winnie Cooper is one of the down to earth pregnant porn stars but that’s because at the same time she is one of us when it comes to the fetish. She understands what it’s like to worship a pregnant woman and to be worshipped herself. The overall problem we are facing aside from this starting to become a political fist fight is that we were never taught from the educational perspective of what porn does to us. Now I don’t know myself where I should stand on this but the only thing I can say is when one porn site goes down a million more takes it’s place. The real main problem when it comes to stuff like this is that no matter how many times you try to put an age restriction to a site there is always a way to get around it. I even know that when I was younger and would go on an adult site there is nothing from stopping you from faking your age or hitting the “Yes, I am 18” button. I also don't think that places like DeviantArt and OnlyFans will have any problems that porn sites will have. They are only based for sharing content and selling them. It was only Tumblr that went from both NSFW & SFW to SFW only. So, I get it from where the government is trying to come from since one of the things they stand behind is the children. Their job when standing behind children is to make themselves look good and to tell adults where they stand on certain issues that involve kids. So, with that I only see the US market getting hurt by this law than any other country.

So these are my thoughts and where I personally stand on this.

The problem of minor exploitation certainly needs to be addressed however I think the government is using it as a smoke screen to take down legal porn. If the regulations they are asking for become law they are going to affect more than just those who engage in illegal activity.

Unfortunately stopping sexual exploitation of minors has become a political test and excuse for conservative reactionarism, thanks to that Qanon bullshit. What's going on now is very similar to the satanic panic back in the 1980s. It makes sense that allegations of satanic child abuse woukd be aimed at daycares, considering conservatives saw daycares as a symbol of the traditional family structure breaking down. Mix that with the war on drugs winding down, which was designed to target liberals and non-whites, and pornography is the perfect cover for passing legislation meant to advance otherwise controversal policies while maintaining public support. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the christian anti-sex industry group Exodus Cry, who was behind the push for Mastercatd and Visa to drop PornHub, are supporting this bill.
