Akhenaten I also don't use OnlyFans, but fuck, this is going to hurt so many people.

Is the US' crackdown on sex work actually helping anyone? Making things more secure? Keeping kids safe? Because to me, it looks like a bunch of puritanical zealots fucking up everyone else's shit because of Republican Jesus or something. Mind your own fucking business. Literally.

It's not the Gov.  It's businesses saying "I don't want to get sued for enabling illegal content so I'm out..."   I totally agree that it's a chickenshit move on their part though.
It is not the government in this case, but laws have been enacted in recent years which have severely harmed sex workers - both their financial well-being, and their safety. Things have been regressing, so it is quite natural to assume the worst when we see things like this.

Now I'm a former OF user myself, so I can speak with a very interesting perspective.

I've been subscribed to multiple accounts over the past year and a half. From what I've read across several articles, I'm sure that you can still go on the site and show tits to your subscribers if you so please (within the rules, obviously). But something like a 5-minute video of a a couple having sex isn't going to make the cut anymore. The creators that thrive off of those extremes, I believe, are the ones who are in the toughest spot trying to adapt.

What I wonder is what happens to the solo content being done on OF? Is masturbation still allowed or is too hot for OF come October 1? Does it become even harder to post a lactation video? (I had one girl who had to DM her vids as opposed to posting it on her profile) How many kinks will and/or won't survive afterwards?

Also, someone mentioned dick pics a ways back in the thread. You have to be a "creator" on the site to post anything, even if it's just as basic as a couple sentences saying how much you want to just get laid. Which means you would need to upload a profile pic, apply to be a creator, link a banking account, and then you're set. I did that for some time, but made my account free. All I did was post one such pic and others just covered up teases or other body parts, then some text posts here and there. I was fortunate to have a few female creators that subscribed to me simply for keeping good business with them and/or being able to have casual conversation at times. So the dick pic situation won't change as far as I know.

Final thoughts: It's a tough situation, no doubt. Sex workers will have to prepare to adapt depending on what content they put out, otherwise, they'll have to look at alternatives, whether it be posting elsewhere or quitting altogether and moving on to other jobs. Not looking down on those people...just calling it how I see it.

The only reason they become sex workers is bc some make good $. Is selling ya body for people you don't know on the internet really worth it? How do they know friends & family aren't guying their crap? Plus there is no real way to know if anyone under 18 is on that site. All it takes is a lie & their parent's credit card. Most of the sex workers may have a hs diploma at best but most don't know how to do an algrebra sheet that a 11th grader could do. Most can't even write an essay.

Someday OF will be porn free & it is a good thing. Once the biggest video platform (YT) went kid friendly & "age restricted" vids that are friendly.. other popular sites will follow to make more $. People eant a site like YT but a paid site. It's only a matter of time where patreon & manyvids will be the only 2 left. That would mean: most sex workers will take the jobs that teens & college students have. Nothing wrong with it.

I remember when you could watch porn on Dailymotion.com; it's all gone though, but I saw some wonderful things on there when they still had it.

Other sections of the policy that ban deepfakes, drugs, or violence, remain unchanged. Yeah, those bullet points are a lot of peoples' lifelines. So this is going to be a huge upset. It's "not as bad" as maybe it seemed at first, but make no mistake: it's bad.

OF is a problem anyway.

This is an unpopular opinion and TBH I dont even care. I have multiple OF memberships. Most of them I have let just die and I have not renewed. My problem is the women charge exorbitant amounts of money to get in the door and for Customs. They dont post much of anything. You pay to subscribe then you keep getting DMs with more stuff that you have to pay for. That's ridiculous. I didnt subscribe to this OF to drop more money every month. Some of them swear theyre going to upload and dont even bother. I have one I just joined where the woman has posted three times in the past month. I have another where she may have posted twice, and what she does is keep on posting about "Im sorry I havent posted but Im going to drop a ton of videos soon". People really took this and abused it. I know this has nothing to do with OF or their practices in general but Im just saying that this is a wake up call to women like them. They got on OF and made real easy money, milking people for more money every time they did something or barely updating their pages. Now they lost everything. I hope they stashed all that money they made somewhere.

I've never been on OF, but I also find camgirls tedious and boring. I do miss the old Pornhub though.

I couldn’t put it better myself. There’s only a drastically small number of models I’ve enjoyed on there. The ones I’ve loved content from, they’re worth every penny to me. But the average pregnancy page? Scarce amounts of content on the page, insanely high prices for customs, and sometimes the PPV content can get priced out very quickly.

If I’m paying over $100 for one video, I expect it to not be shot on a phone lol. I know a lot of phones have amazing quality now, but a lot of the vids I’ve seen in the past look like they were shot with a brick. Honestly, the best platform out there is ManyVids in my opinion. You get to see most of the content the models create with short previews. On OF, you only get previews if the model is gracious enough. The point of PPV is to hide something and build up hype. Sometimes, you can be utterly disappointed with what you got as well. Then you have something you felt like you wasted cash on. I understand some people have tons to spend, but most of us don’t.

But, it is an undisputed fact that many models price out the average joe to rake in the “sugar-daddies”. No hate on them, they know how to market. Belle Delphine once made a $2,000,000 withdrawal on her account, the biggest ever on the site. The thing is, not everyone will be like her. So many people have jumped on the bandwagon but get upset when they don’t earn a lot of money like the internet told them they would.

I, for one, enjoy the content from models that are in it because they love what they’re doing. It shows in the content they make. Those who charge extremely high prices have no passion in what they do except only for money. That’ll be the case with any PPV membership site from now on, I think. It has been proven that this stuff sells. I’ve already heard of two new sites on the scene ready to replace OF if they really do start banning pornography. Though, it would be a dumb business move lol. But, pressure from the banks caused the PornHub fiasco. You have to be in the good graces of investors after all, but that goes with the subscribers to OF pages as well. It’s all business, at the root of things. Marketing and production.

Also a little side note here: I understand the whole debacle with sex-workers flipping out about this. But the professionals that legitimately devote their career to this will find new platforms. The average OF model is not a professional sex-worker. They’re usually unemployed or using this as a side-hustle. No judgment, do what you think is best to earn money. But we have to acknowledge that some are just out there to take advantage of people. Yes, sex-work is a real job. Yes, it can be profitable. But most of the time, jobs in entertainment only get extremely profitable if you are jumped into stardom. Like with singing/music, only a few of the vast number become icons. People on both sides, content creators and consumers, need to be realistic with this stuff. That’s all I ask of people really. I might come off as a cynical prick sometimes on issues like these, but I’m just calling it how I see it from what I’ve personally experienced with the platform and it’s users.

That said, be grateful for models like @13Scarlett . As many of you know, she's a long-time legend on here at least in my book. Not everyone is as amazing as she is with content. And she's dealt with a lot of our stupid bullshit before too. Like that time some scumbag blackmailed her. She's one of the few models I've actually kept up with and consistently supported even after her initial pregnancy. And she's pregnant with her second right now. Honestly, it'll be OF's loss if they stop porn and lose someone like her in my opinion lol. I bet she'd have no problem finding a new platform for her content. That's the great thing about all of this that I mentioned in my previous post, this is profitable. New companies that are more lenient and ambitious will make new platforms.

Also Scarlett if you haven't already, consider making a ManyVids or C4S too! Those are great alternatives that you can run without issue while still running a subscription service like OF if you find people that don't want to sub to your page and still want to buy content from you.
