It's definitely difficult to imagine OnlyFans without a porn undercurrent, but supposedly they envisioned a service that would allow any kind of content creator to hide some of their shit behind a paywall so that "only fans" could get access to it. The content creator benefits, of course, because of the monthly subscriptions, which provide more predictable cashflow than god-knows-what YouTube's going to send you from one month to the next, for example.

It's not a bad idea, really. I mean that despite what I think of the current situation. That said, I don't think anyone will use OnlyFans for that non-porn intent going forward. The brand is likely ruined.

How is it that all of you worrying and complaning don't even use Onlyfans? Y'all are the most paranoid people I've ever seen. Quit acting like this is doomsday for porn, because NEWSFLASH it's not. OnlyFans isn’t getting rid of all porn either. Sexually explicit content will be more regulated on the platform, but nude pictures will still be allowed.

Tumblr bans porn, Pornhub deletes all unverified users/videos and disables downloading, and now OnlyFans bans porn. People have every right to be paranoid.

Twitter and Reddit are really all that are left. I'm hoping they won't follow suit, but you never know.

According to a lot of other onlyfans creators who have contacted onlyfans support on the matter, it isn’t going to change much for creators but unverified users won’t be able to post content (for example if you’re a sub on the site you can’t send dick pics) as long as creators adhere to the current TOS there really won’t be much problem for them.

1. Tumblr isn't a porn site, so no shit they'll ban porn.

2. Pornhub is doing what they were supposed to have done 10 years ago. People are just pissed they cant hide their stash behind friends only wall or trade anymore

3. Onlyfans is doing the same thing that pornhub is doing.

Again, you people are paranoid and act surprise when sites that are not specific for porn end up banning it.

The message being sent by OnlyFans is they are prohibiting all forms of explicit content. That sounds to me like nudity will not be allowed regardless of the user's account status. Prominent investors do not want to be associated with a brand that is known as a "place of vice." OnlyFans is quickly trying to reinvent itself because there is a lot of venture capital dollars to be had. If nudity will still be allowed on verified accounts what is the point of announcing a ban on explicit content?
