OP says she started demanding money once she was there, and he said no, so she tried to steal his wallet. If she was going to charge, she should have made that clear before agreeing to meet up. I did not get that impression from the first post. OP didn't say "I invited a prostitute over." He said she was there and then started demanding money. Back when Craigslist Personals was still around, I met up with quite a few pregnant women who didn't ask for money. We just hung out.

Unless, OP... did you KNOW she was going to ask for money? You didn't say anything about that until everything went down. If, from the beginning of your communications, she made it clear that she was working, it's understandable that she started trying to get you to compensate her. It STILL doesn't excuse attempted burglary (she should have just left your place), but it does change the story.

EDIT: After re-reading the thread, which seems like the adult thing to do after so much miscommunication, I see that OP found her on Chaturbate... where she was ostensibly working... as a sex worker. I missed that post. Vital information. It doesn't to me, but that's because I've known quite a few camgirls who could conceivably go to someone's house to hang out and not fuck. Yes, really. Okay everyone, I feel like this has gotten a bit out of proportion. This was a first time experience for me and I obviously made mistakes and over looked red flags. To give some additional information that I didn't feel necessary before to my story, when first conversing with her I did give a tip through CB that she ended up calling a "meet up payment" even though that was not what it was originally for, I was just trying to give a decent tip. I did not originally intend to meet up but once she mentioned it I agreed. From there I chatted with her though snap for a few weeks before all this went down. We discussed things like where and when, physical expectations, and things that either of us would not be comfortable with during the meet. As stated in a previous update I did try to confirm what her expectations were and if she was expecting further payment of any kind, but she either dodge the questions or just ignored them outright. If she had at least made it clear that she was expecting more money, I would have obviously gone about things differently. I may have been an idiot, but she also was not communicating anything related to that with me. As for her attempt at stealing my wallet, not gonna disagree that thievery is wrong, but as others have stated I invited a stranger into my home. I like to try and believe that people can be good, but I should have kept a closer eye on things.
In the end, no harm has been done to me or her. I still will not share her handle or take this to the police as this was ultimately more my mistake then hers. I have all my belongings and have not seen anything from her or anyone related. I personally do not feel that it is my place to potentially ruin some ones life and source of income due to my own ignorance to the situation.

Once again, I obviously made mistakes. I was too caught up with the idea of doing anything with a pregnant women to think enough ahead about it. I did not have any prior experience for anything like this, and it shows. This can at least be considered a learning experience for if I or anyone else on here is getting into a similar situation. I hope that we can all stop arguing right or wrong regarding prostitution and this situation. I'd rather see us be a community that can come together to share our common interest and help each other when some one needs.

I'm sorry she dodged your questions about her expectations for the transaction. It was very unprofessional of her; someone who sells services for a living, any kind of services, should get that sorted out prior to the transaction. Your mistake was not seeing that for the big bright red flag that it is. This is not the kind of sex worker to do business with. Too sketchy.

I still don't think it was OK for her to try to steal your wallet, regardless of the payment ambiguity and disagreement. I find it really weird that everyone is so chill about that part, like it's the logical next step: I didn't get what I want, so I just take it! Really? Whatever, I'll quit harping on it now. Adding my two cents not to shit on OP but to provide a similar (less scary) cautionary tale with a sex worker in Latin America. I came across this pregnant woman on an independent escort site and it stated a certain amount for an hourly rate. I make the appt (but don’t hash out expectations. Kudos to OP for doing that!) and take a decently long bus ride to make the appointment, but when I finally meet her, I realize that this woman’s belly photos were very exaggerated.
