Shout out to those who've gotten it, and let's encourage those who are on the fence to take the plunge and help bring normality back into society.

For those who don't like this, move on because your negativity isn't welcomed.

Nope we shouldn’t encourage anyone. Just like abortion it’s each person’s body and they have a right to decide what goes in it and what doesn’t go in it. For those that choose to get poked good for them but that doesn’t mean they have a right to push or “encourage” other people into getting poked if they don’t want to.

You can disagree with my opinion and that is perfectly okay because that’s what having an open discussion is all about. A respectful exchange of ideas even if some opinions on the subject don’t align.

I dont believe in “vaccines” that require a booster every 3 months to be effective, and even then their effectiveness is debatable. At that point “vaccine” is a marketing term, not a scientific one.

Requesting opposing viewpoints to move on because you couldn't survive outside an echo chamber of your own views is cringe.

If you've read my post first you would see that this is a thread for those who are on the fence, not those who are against the vaccine. I don't really give a shit if you're anti-vaxx or not, I'm going to encourage those who are debating on if they should get it or not.

If you've already made up your mind, then fuck off.

Sorry, but you've made a rather egregious mistake.  There's a VAST difference between

"Vaccines will slow the spread of infectious diseases, so it's in your best interest, as well as the best interest of society and humanity as a while, for you to get your shot."

and

"You *HAVE* to get the shot because we say so.  Buckle up, buttercup!"

I will encourage everyone from now until I die to get vaccinated.  I will do my level best to dispel any myths, old wives tales, and in general straight up misinformation (that is: wrong, factually FALSE info) and try to educate my fellow human beings on the benefits, and safety, of vaccination.

I will *NOT* push for a blanket mandate, however.  And do note, I stated "blanket mandate."  There are professions that do require vaccinations, and for good reason:

1. The Medical community:  Not having your doctors and nurses as patients in their own hospitals kinda helps keep the good work going.

2. Military:  I am a Veteran.  I can tell you from personal experience that when I signed on the dotted line, I gave up a lot of choices that most Americans take for granted.  During my inprocessing, I stood in a line of fellow trainees and was walked through a vaccination station where I got at least a half-dozen shots, assembly line style.  Shot in the right shoulder.  Step forward.  Next station, left shoulder.  A little farther down the line, both at once.  A few more, and then the last one was a needle in the Gluteus Maximus.  All received within the space of 30 minutes.  Any servicemember who complains about a vaccine needs to open up their memory, and recall the fact that they don't have a choice.  It's in the fine print.  Additionally, I've received a Smallpox vaccine just prior to a deployment to Afghanistan, a flu shot every year (again, a REQUIREMENT in the service,) and I've even been inoculated against Anthrax (though it's been over 5 years since my last booster, so that's probably not up to snuff anymore.)

The thing about having the military vaccinated is this:  if someone decides to throw down, you need your military to be ready *RIGHT NOW.*  Not in 3 weeks; NOW.

And finally, lets not forget:  Schools.  Here in Texas there's a laundry list of vaccines that children are *REQUIRED* to have in order to attend Texas public schools.  It's not a friendly suggestion.  It's a REQUIREMENT.  Oklahoma has a similar requirement list (I think there's maybe one difference.)

So, if you don't want to get shots, I don't care how loyal, how patriotic, how dedicated, you are.  Don't be a medical professional.  Don't be a First Responder.  Don't join the military.  Don't have kids (or rather, pony up the $$ and send them to private schools where they don't care if your kid spreads infectious diseases to the rest of the student body.)

It's as simple as that.  It's like that one county clerk who refused to certify same sex marriage licenses even though the law of the land changed.  The law changes and it conflicts with your beliefs?  go do another job.

I won't belittle anyone for not getting a vaccine.  I don't know them and their personal circumstances.  But I *WILL* try to educate my fellow human beings.  Knowledge is power, and with accurate information you can make far better decisions than "My feelings" will ever guide you.  So yes, I'll encourage till the day I die.  I also accept, understand, and approve of narrow-scope, purpose driven vaccination mandates.

I *ALSO* approve of letting those that tempt fate to take themselves out of the gene pool, which also removes themselves from the public discussion.  While any avoidable loss of life is tragic, and I do have pity for their friends and families, I can not feel any sorrow for those individuals who pushed against vaccines and then died from the very thing they fought against protections from.

That's what gets me. You don't get your kid vaccinated for school and the other adults will view you as a antivaxx moron. Yet not getting a Covid shot is somehow different, especially when it's free for literally everyone. I'm pretty sure you have to pay for those shots to be able to even enroll your kid into kindergarden.

Own the libs by not taking a free vaccination and run the risk of owing thousands in medical debt
