i think i haven´t seen this kind of question in here, but i was curious about it. i made this question because there is a possibility that my dad had or has this fetish, examples: everytime i´m with him and a pregnant woman shows up in the street or any place, he has that look i do when i see a pregnant woman (i recognize it because he is my father haha and it is like a sixth sense for the ones that have this fetish, we recognize it in others, like, "hey, you like pregnant women, huh?" "you are one of my team!" haha) (well, it happens in me, i´m not saying that all have this sixth sense, lol)

 (i haven´t had the chance to see it more in him because he didn´t live in my house when i was a kid, and now i am living on my own) 

but i don´t know, what do you think?

I think fetishes are more likely a result of life experiences... but I suppose it's possible. I'm not aware of any research that's ever been done on the subject, but I'd be interested in it if there were any.

I asked myself the same thing many times. As Akhenaten said I think the most important to develop a fetish is the life experiences, but experiences and the environment of a person can even affect and change some things in the DNA. So maybe this can make a person more easily predisposed to develop a fetish in the right circumstances. Not to mention there are many people with this fetish (including myself) that felt something special for pregnant women since they can remember, and in my case I'm the only child of my parents so my fetish didn't appear as a result of seeing my mother being pregnant. Thing that many users here told as a fact that helped to develop their fetish.

On the other hand I think pregnancy fetish is one of the most natural of all: the beauty of a pregnant woman at the top of her fertility. I'd bet even the guy who made the Venus of Willendorf was one of us.

i´m in the same situation, @bongo79 (also as the only child in my family), but i don´t know why i have this fetish. it is a mistery for me, that´s why this question popped up in head.

@Preggyban interesting! i think there are a lot of people that have this fetish but don´t say anything for fear of being judged. (i am, but when i find the right woman i´ll tell her about it)

That's a very good question!

I would agree with everyone else in saying that it's not entirely hereditary, but environment and life experiences definitely help shape it as well.

That being said, I have a huge family (16 aunts and uncles on my dad's side of the family including 5 sets of twins). I have at least 40 or so cousins that are well into their 20s and 30s because of this, and I've seen a lot of them pregnant. Obviously I wasn't turned on by them (after all, I'm not from Alabama), but it certainly kick started my interest, and eventually, fetish.

I'm sure there are a lot of other things that shaped it, but that's just my two cents on the topic.

I know my uncle from my father side has that fetish. One of his employee who is my friend told me he love to touch his employees pregnant belly.

This comes to mind a lot, especially when I always see my dad grab my mom’s stomach after dinner and say “Full belly?” and they get all cutesy about it. When he found my Pregnant stash he didn’t send me to therapy like my mom did later (he just told me don’t look at inappropriate pictures and left it).

I also remember being fascinated with big female bellies even before having real sexual feelings.

My dad's into fat chicks and no one else seems to have my fetish so not in my case.

In my opinion, the fetish is more the result of environmental stiminuli than anything else. I recall reading that a very substantial number of pregnancy fetishists are first/oldest children (I'm the oldest of four myself) so that's an obvious potential trigger.

I ain't sure... But I know I have this fetish since I was 10.
But it went somewhere different. It eventually kicked me to gain some knowledge about pregnant anatomy and pregnant lifestyle, rather than remaining as a basic fetish. I was just 11/12 when I started to research such thangs (I still don't know why I did that, but I'm still glad for knowing em), and it still continues today.
I also think that TV ads and being with preggos too much (my mother's friendships) kickstarted this interest. However, there's no problem in likin normal women, which is good news for me.
