(October 29, 2018, 1:31 am)orta03 I second griddles' question. Just how the heck are you consuming 50gigs of content a day? It's not a big deal, just curious. Wink Anyway, on the thread topic, my collection is about 260gigs in total. 15gigs of that is photos and the rest are videos(mostly cam vids now). I store my collection on one external terabyte hard drive. My collection is now big enough that, I don't feel the need to spend much time looking for new pregnant content like I used too. I'm pretty content with it.

Woah, I assumed you along with quasa2 would have the largest collection considering how much both of you have given to the community

Ha ha, it would be if I kept all of the stuff I share. I only keep the cam model vids I personally like. Gotta keep my collection streamlined. Tongue

well I'm not that much of a hoarder and I have no hard drives because money and hard drives fail sometimes so you need back ups and thats to much work for me. I only have ssd drive with 250gb on my pc (no hdd) and on that there is maybe 1-30gb of videos for some weeks then I delete everything.

I have maybe 1TB on google drive, cloudmail.ru and mega.nz altogether. so everything I have is on cloud storage services.

(October 28, 2018, 11:14 pm)SweetMilk Anyone is welcome to answer this question but i would love to hear from people whose collection size is in the 10s of Terabytes category. I'm at a stage where i'm trying to cut down on costs because of how much stuff I'm downloading. Generally I just purchase another hard drive when i'm almost running out but i feel like having a proper setup for my needs might be a better option. Just to give you a rough idea i'm downloading approx 50GB+/day and sometimes as much as 120-150GB/day. (btw this is just pregnant related content, other stuff i just stream so its not a issue)

Holy shit. 50GB/day is 1.5TB/month.

The only way to "cut down on costs because of how much stuff you're downloading" is to stop downloading so much. There is no other way out. You can keep buying an external drive every month or two until you run out of USB ports, and then you can buy USB expansion cards to put in your computer (if you have a desktop with PCI Express slots), and then you can start using USB hubs until the drives' performance goes to shit, and then what? And what if you want to have a backup copy of everything? Multiply your cost by two and you'll reach the saturation point twice as fast.

Or, if you want to do it the "right" way, you could spend thousands of dollars on a huge NAS or SAN with 10+ drives, but much of that initial cost would be spent just catching up to your current needs with no accounting for expansion. It would be noisy as hell, generate heat, and guzzle power. Once you've maxed it out, you're spending another few thousand dollars on another one, or you could rip all the drives out and install larger ones, but that would be a huge pain in the ass. And again, this is with no backup copies, otherwise multiply by two.

You could go to the cloud - Google Drive has storage plans up to 30TB (for $300/month!), but any copyrighted content you upload is at risk of being flagged and removed, and you'll eventually max that out anyway. iCloud only goes up to 2TB, Dropbox 2TB, Mediafire 1TB, Mega 8TB, etc., so you'd have to piecemeal it unless you go with something like Backblaze B2 which would still cost you on the order of $1500/year (Azure, Amazon S3, etc. would all cost 3-4x more than that). You won't have any backups (again, multiply by two). And if you miss a few payments, you can watch your data disappear into thin air.

Long story short: you're generating more data every month than most small/medium businesses generate in a year. If a habit is forcing you to consider enterprise storage solutions, you may want to reconsider that habit.

to be clear google doesn't remove or delete your files. Its a rumor. they only flag them. thats all.

Another suggestion of mine, added on to doubleintegral's would be to vet through your downloaded content, ie to control the influx of data. Delete videos that are repeated, delete videos that are not to your tastes or unremarkable. I inferred that you're a camgirl collector, so maybe you can remove some videos where it is 1 hour long but the camgirl only spends 2-5 minutes actually showing her belly. Most of the videos contain them just sitting around doing - absolutely nothing. For me, I also delete videos that I have no interest for. Sometimes after a bulk download of a major drive share, I'll scrub through the video to see if the quality is there. For me personally, (meaning no offense to others), but I don't like BBW, fake-pregnancy and teen-preg stuff, so I'll remove all videos that doesn't entice me and take up space. I've deleted videos that are 2GB in size of recorded camgirls that just sit there and briefly shows her belly after tipping - for me, those are just useless.

What exactly is the difference? Honest question, because a while back I put some of my Pregnant Playpen videos in my drive for safe keeping (unshared) and they disappeared not too long after.

you must be mistaken. google never deletes files. maybe you uploadet the videos to another drive.

I cant comment on whether they delete flagged videos or not but from what i understand they can/do delete files and in some cases your whole collection for various reasons which is not limited to copyright such as suspicious activities

Back in June/July, I completely stopped everything (recording and watching cams). Hell I even somewhat stopped coming on here during that period. I'm working on it to come out of this habit again but i feel like if I don't record, i'm gonna miss out on something.

This is what I actually do to make space. I generally do this for models that stream in HD or for hours straight since these will consume the most. but alot of the time i end up extracting the best bits and then deleting the original, which is time consuming hence why I was wondering what other peoples setup is. Of course the best solution would be to only record here and there or stop recording altogether and just download once in a while. The sad part is, I actually don't watch most of what I record/download.
