(July 23, 2022, 5:16 pm)belliesrlovelyIt's like working with kids: they might be happy to be in it but the next day they could not want to do it or feel like it. Pregnant women are stressed & tired a lot. It is also cheaper to have a woman wearing a fake belly. They just audition, sign some paperwork & then they wear the belly & are told what to do for the commercial. Plus they cost at least 10-20K just for 2 or 3 minutes or less. If a Pregnant woman flakes or doesn't feel like it, it cost the company a lot. Every preggo we saw in a commercial is just a woman in a fake belly(July 23, 2022, 5:07 pm)Thechickenlawyer Huggies is owned by Kimberly Clark. They are a BIG company that even with the pandemic they made tons of billions a year. They'd want their commercials to be good quality. So they probably had a top quality belly made. It has to look realistic enough for people to believe she's pregnant. Cute belly button too. Including our much beloved Saburu commercial with the preggo with her belly out near the beach that also got in the water. There's no women wearing fake bellies than there actual preggos in media. Yes, pregnant women get tired, but they're adults. They know what they signed up for, and barring some emergency like premature labor or something, I don't think they'd flip-flop on doing a commercial like that. Second, I seriously doubt she was paid 10-20K to be in a 30-second commercial. She's not a celebrity. They don't even show her face! Third, I would imagine it'd be cheaper to hire a real pregnant woman for a day or two's work than hire an actress and create a fake pregnant belly that matches her exact skin tone and moves like a real belly. I don't even know why this is up for debate. The belly looks pretty real to me. It's true that some commercials use fake bellies, but some use real ones too.

There was an earth pollution PSA where there was a couple that was really excited for her to be pregnant. They go out and buy clothes and a crib. As the PSA goes on though, it gets more and more depressing as the baby continues growing in her past 9 months. They return the clothes and donate the crib. The final shot is of her walking on a shore with trash littered on it. I think the end line went something like, "Would you bring your child into this world?"
