I go out if I need to get groceries or something, but otherwise I stay home. I'm kind of a recluse anyway so it doesn't bother me. lol

RIP Californians, although I'm 100% sure that more states will also be put on "lock-down". But according to California's lock-down, not everything's going to be shut down and you'll be able to leave your house.

What remains open?
  • Grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks, convenience stores

  • Take-out and delivery restaurants

  • Gas stations

  • Pharmacies

  • Laundromats/laundry services

  • Banks

  • Essential state and local government offices and services, including law enforcement

What’s closed?
  • Dine-in restaurants

  • Bars and nightclubs

  • Entertainment venues

  • Gyms and fitness centers

  • Public events and gatherings

  • Convention centers

For what other reasons can residents leave their homes?
Other than essential work, the written order does not specify allowable activities outside the home. But the state’s COVID-19 website says Californians also may leave home to:
  • Get food

  • Care for a relative or friend

  • Get necessary health care or critical medical supplies

In his announcement Thursday night, Newsom indicated outdoor recreation and exercise is also allowed — he mentioned dog-walking and “taking your kids outside” — as long as social distancing and other “common sense” preventive measures are followed.

And here's a copy of the order: https://www.scribd.com/document/45251378...rnia-Order

And site where the info came from: https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/03/20/c...the-rules/

So assuming more states follow California's order, it doesn't seem too bad compared to being home bound for months.

I feel the urge to lead a mass protest against the Kung Flu Quarantine and then buy everyone who attends a round at every bar in San Francisco just to spite Newsom.

What's next? National Guard shooting anyone who steps outside? Cancelling the elections? Shoving anyone who coughs into a mobile incineration van like in Hubei?

1. That will never happen since they know people can't live off of what's realistically a couple of weeks worth of food and medication. Not to mention they don't expect you to stay inside for months at a time. We're not at Fallout levels yet.

2. Several states have already exercised the use of electronic and mail in voting in case of situations like these. EVEN if you'll stick stuck like this until November, they're not going to cancel the elections...

3. Now you're just being silly.

I'm in North Carolina and I'm expecting a shut down/ shelter in place coming soon. It is what it is I suppose. Best of luck to everyone out there. Stay safe!

(March 22, 2020, 9:02 pm)LovePreggies Just really getting ticked off. People are panicking and shutting stuff down over nothing, tbh. More people die of car accidents every day than the coronavirus. The media fear tactics are what the problem is.

As of today, COVID-19 is now killing more people daily than automotive accidents.

In the US as of last check tonight a little over 55,000 have it while under 800 have died since the second to last week of January.
This is a "double triple bossy deluxe on a raft, 4x4 animal style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease; make it cry, burn it, and let it swim" nothing burger.

Give it a minute, boss. This is the week where the chart gets redonkulous.

Not according to this: https://www.thewanderingrv.com/car-accident-statistics/

Nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car accidents every year, which averages to about 3,287 deaths a day. COVID-19 ain't got shit on car crashes.
