There's your law, and there's my law. There's no "the law". What applies to your county/town/country does not necessarily apply as "the law" to the rest of the world, you don't know what the situation is like for OP wherever he's from.
Plus I'm sure everyone gets it but you. OP isn't discussing laws and consequences, he simply wishes people have greater respect and etiquette, though this is the internet with all sorts of creeps so that's debatable as well.
Well he should've stated where he was from instead of saying such a broad statement. In America you can flim like that which none of you people in this thread understand. So dont say "everyone gets it but you". Its life people are gunna fuckin weiredos anyway. But I did say in my first comment why didnt you say anything to this man? But he'd rather wait to confront him on the internet. That makes sense. Not trying to argue bro I'm just stating from this pov

One more thing this is what HE said and I quote
"If I see her content posted on this site I would have to call it out, I'm sorry.
Please at least have some respect for pregnant women."
We have a saying in New York, if you see something say something. You saw something but didn't say anything. If your talking about respect you should've confronted him then and there. Not wait around and hope he post something to call him out. You wait to confront him on the internet? Yea that makes sense. Your just as bad for not stepping in. I'll rest my case

My philosophy on the subject is this: if you’re gonna look, do it in an inconspicuous and subtle manner. If you are making the woman uncomfortable, stop what you’re fucking doing. It’s as simple as that.
As for the legal part, New Jersey passed a law in 2016 prohibiting, “photographing, filming, publishing and sharing of images taken of the clothed intimate parts of another without his or her consent, and under circumstances in which a reasonable person would not expect to have his or her private body parts seen.”
No upskirts, no foul. However with swimwear and other similarly revealing clothing, this would get hazy. Public beach, go right ahead. But here with an apartment complex pool? Nope. Private property. That guy taking candid videos or photos broke the law. That’s how the law is. Do your research @ metsjets19 . I’m just trying to clear this up. Yes, you can in public. But private spaces? Illegal. Filming someone in that apartment complex’s pool is basically peeping into their bedroom. I’m betting that pool is open to residents only, thus making it private property.
All I’m doing is trying to do is interpret the law and how it is written. I don’t really agree with candids, but that’s not why I wanted to point this out. That’s why I said if you do it, make sure they have no clue that it is happening.

Damn I haven't posted to this? Ok then.
There is something called "The Photographer's Right", that basically protects you if you are photographing but I don't know if it pertains to candids (probably not).
If you want to read more about it, here's a little thing I found on it: hxxps://mab.to/C8S2tcHTf

(April 28, 2020, 11:14 pm)metsjets19 At the end of the day you're in public and you have no privacy so he has the right to do whatever. We all do. Dontike being filmed dont be in public. No matter how creepy it might have he does have the right. Also did you say anything to this person
This is also some stupid reasoning. Probably as bad as anything Tek posts pertaining to situations like this.

Yup. Like I posted, you can’t just photo sexual content without consent. And that includes upskirts. Now with photography in private areas like bathrooms, their house, or any private property such as that apartment complex’s pool, that is illegal. Photography in public is permitted, but people may exercise their rights if they are bothered by being photographed or videotaped. That’s why in documentary and other works there might be blurred out faces. Sometimes it’s to protect identity, but in our case here it would be not consenting to have their likeness shown. In most cases things can turn out in lawsuits, yet if you are identified as a sexual predator then that’s official legal action and sanctioning against someone.

I'm not going to bother getting into the morality of this because that's the kind of thing that triggers the passive-aggressive dudes in here. However, I will say that the candid pic hunter filming at the pool was one of those hunters that end up getting busted because they use methods that scream "Look at me I'm recording you!" I bet he was standing there holding his smartphone in her direction where everyone including his target could see him. I'm not criticizing him for recording the preggo because I have no problem with a person taking candids as long as they are not invading private areas that can not be seen by the general public. If he is a tenant at the complex he had every right to hang out at the pool. I'm criticizing him for being completely careless. If the footage he collected ends up posted in here I think it's going a bit too far suggesting his catch should be "called out." If we go down that road we mind as well report on every candid pic thread in here and seek to have the candid section removed. Smh

The problem here is not that he was taking candids. We’ve already had so many discussions about that. However, it is a problem that he went out of his way to videotape or take photos of someone in a private space. Because if the pool is owned by the complex, he’s broken the law because of private property infringement. Sure, photographers have the right in public property. But that pool probably isn’t deemed such if it isn’t open to the general public. That’s the issue. Not candids. The way he went about it and the illegality are the issues here. I thought it was pretty plain to see.
Look at it this way, I can’t go around my apartment taking intimate candid shots of my girlfriend unless she consents. In public, I could do nonsexual ones. In private, you need permission especially if they are deemed sexual. Let’s face it, all candids are jerking material lol. Preggo in a swimsuit. Hot. However, respect is necessary. Perverts, get caught if you can’t see why it is creepy. All I am trying to point out is that peeping on the private pool is the same as a camera catching pics in a woman’s room. Take what you will from that.

Yea I hear you but people are only reading the first half what i wrote. Hes said he should respect the woman and stop and "if" her content is on here he'd call it out. He could've said something to him in person. Why wait for the internet? By then if he wants the whole thing is online it's to late. So in a way did he show respect to the woman by not saying something sonner

I mean, I would’ve myself. But, we aren’t him are we? How can we judge him when he wasn’t clearly stepping over that line? This is just a shitty situation because of the compounding effects. Best course of action is explaining why things are wrong instead of resulting to fights. I see value in this story even if he didn’t knight his way over to reprimand the pervert. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t creep. If you do, have fun with the sex offender registry.
