Yeah, USD $90 / mo is very expensive. But this is the most activity I've ever received from any dating/whatever site -- so I think I'll have to stick with it. I just paid for a second month.

You may have more luck if you hack the search option. Be sure to cycle through single terms. [pregnancy, pregnant, bun, oven, expecting, expectant] Comb the profile description for common text you can search for. Also, sometimes you can use the “how many children” or “other” body type to narrow results. Some pregnant women don’t advertise but the profile picture shows it.
I agree that SA membership is overvalued. I wish I could share the subscription cost with someone to send messages and get phone numbers.
The highest priority is to get their contact info outside of SA because it cost money to see your messages even after your subscription expires. SA would be perfect if your work allowed you to travel and had a Model 3 with an Airstream trailer.

It's not pay-per-message, but in order to read anything anyone sends us, we have to pay USD $90/mo for a Premium Membership. While that's active, we can read all the messages we receive. Once that expires, if you don't renew, suddenly you'll find you can't read any messages -- new or old.

And it's not that guys specifically have to do it. It's anyone looking to be the daddy/mommy in the arrangement. So if you, as a woman, got on there seeking a sugar baby, you'd have to pay to read the messages potential sugar babies sent you.

May as well update on this, while I'm at it. I don't know what happened, but I'm just over a month into my SA adventures now and the number of messages I'm receiving has dropped off a cliff. It's fucking dead. I don't know if they sprinkle some special shit in their algorithm for brand new members to get them to think it's better than it is, or what, but I can hear the crickets...

Ahhh I see, that makes sense why I've never encountered that.  I think it's a new member thing as well because when I signed up originally I was getting BLASTED with DM's now that I've been on there a few years it's like a ghost town unless I change my location. Maybe try that? Every time I move and update my location it's like the day I joined all over again lol

You get a boost with every month you subscribe and then they sell boosts for $10/each. 

What I’ve found works for me is if you view a bunch of people and favorite a few along the way. Seems to bump you up temporarily in the search results a bit.

Well i joined POF a couple of days ago and have been looking around for pregnant ladies. Today I spotted 1, she has 4 pictures of her pregnant belly on her profile and says she a momma to be. So I email her and low and behold no answer at all, she read my msgs but nothing in return. I was super kind to, told her she looked wonderful pregnant and maybe we could chat a bit, nothing creepy.
Not sure what the deal is if your pregnant and there's a guy whose interested wouldn't you reply and talk a bit?

There are many reasons the answer to this is no. Being pregnant doesn't make them change anything fundamental about themselves. They still have their standards and preferences, and aren't suddenly "beggars." They may also get weirded out by someone who expresses interest in the pregnancy, because more and more women are becoming aware of the fetish and that they are being fetishized (and they don't like it). Even the ones who you may get to talk to for a while will almost certainly ghost you when shit gets real and it's time to meet up (that's what usually happens to me).

I just seem to be repulsing more pregnant women than attracting them. Just none of them will even reply to a msg, even on POF.

Maybe women on there aren't all that excited to be reminded they are pregnant?  They might be looking for something more concrete and realize people commenting on their pregnancy might just be in it for the short term.
