Saw what the polticians did and said and i cant even imagine how that must feel. Hoping for warmer weather for you sorry cant do much else. There at least lile a place to get blankets? They accept donations?

Oh man, yeah, our politicians... this Ted Cruz guy, one of our senators, flew to Cancun to get away from it all and when people called him on it, he tried to blame it on his kids. So classy! Anyway -- there are a lot of places that have stepped up to offer what are called "warming shelters," and cities are distributing bottled water, etc. There's also been some federal aid (and we didn't even have to beg because the new president isn't a man-child who holds grudges for states not voting for him), but last I heard, the supplies aren't getting into the right hands because the state is so disorganized. I know AOC, the dirty, awful, no-good socialist bitch from New York, organized a fundraiser for Texans and has raised something like a million dollars so far. So yeah, there's help, but it's all about playing catch-up now since there was like zero preparation. The hard freeze has passed and the snow is melting, so this week marks the beginning of the recovery... but it's a mess.

I have an aunt who lives in Houston and had to evacuate to Louisiana to my great aunt's place. She and her husband/kids are doing fine, but her house definitely has water damage from a busted pipe due to the cold weather.

Don't forget Greg Abbott, who did plenty of local news interviews and statewide press conferences talking about the failures at the coal/gas plants, then goes on primetime national TV (Fox News) dissing renewable energy. All of our elected officials are pieces of shit.

And while I am thinking about upgrading to the Pro since my current PS4 sounds like a leaf blower after a few minutes, I don't know if the additional $100 price tag would be worth it just for one game.
I'd wait for the PS5 or get a decent gaming pc. You can always upgrade a gaming rig

I have a couple of griefs with PC gaming. For one thing the prices of GPUs have been ridiculous to the point where it alone costs more than a console, and I honestly don't game that much to invest spending hundreds on a graphics card. 2nd, I still vastly prefer physical over digital since I can sell/give away a game once I'm done with it or don't like it.

As for the PS5, I'm not getting one until more games are announced for it that aren't available on the PS4. As well as after they fix the analog stick drift. Everyone gave Nintendo massive shit for their joycon drifting, but at least they offer to fix them for free and the actual DIY repair doesn't take no more than half an hour. With the PS5 controller not only is it more difficult to repair, but the drift has been appearing as soon as 2 weeks after first use.

Whatever happened to the days of basic controllers that last decades? I don't need or want NFC, a stupid lightbar, or HD 4K Rumble if I can't even go 2 damn weeks without having to send the controller in for a repair.

What are your opinions to the Total War games, if you own any copies of the games? I love Total War: Shogun 2. Been planning to buy the DLC for that game.
