(April 7, 2021, 10:37 pm)Milkjetstream I'm building a tiny house, and here's a little backstory;

So basically I'm in my early 20s with a decent paying job. I've been living at home for quite some time now and while I've faithfully been giving my parents rent and helping out with expenses, I feel like it's my time to move out. At first I was thinking about getting an apartment, but each one around me was either too expensive or had some ridiculous leasing rules (such as a curfew ffs). I then turned to getting an RV/Camper and living in that, but again each one around me that wasn't water damaged or rusted out was too expensive. So I ended up ordering a customized 300sqft shed and built a tiny house out of it.
I've been considering buying a van/rv/camper and just living in it as I drive across the US and Canada, even going so far as to write a book about my travels, as well as a sort of how-to guide when tourists come traveling to the US (customs, phrases, etc). I don't have nearly enough $ to buy one now (the only job I can work is DoorDash, and even that doesn't get me very far since I live in a small city) but maybe within the next few years I might be able to

Best part is that there's no limit to what you can make a house out of. I see people get creative and use U-Haul trucks, school buses, and even retired Ambulances to convert and live in. Currently my main issue so far is having to adjust into using a composting toilet since the cost of plumbing would've exceeded more than the entire building's value. The toilet itself is homemade with pete moss acting as an odor eliminator as well as compost starter. Once it gets full, I'll most likely bury it since I have a ton of land. For the shower/sink I'm using one of those propane fueled camp shower as well has having the bathroom window open for ventilation whenever I use it. For the kitchen sink, I'm using one of those on demand water heaters with a water pump hooked inside of the cabinets alongside a fresh and grey water tank.

As for the water itself, eventually I'll use rainwater and incorporate a purification system alongside it. But for now, I'll just head over to my parents house and fill up with fresh water there (since I live right next door, they don't mind at all)

Tyler, The Creator's new album isn't that good. My main issue is with DJ Drama. Like it would be fine if he was on a couple of tracks, but for fucks sake the dude is on almost every song. He's almost as bad as that fat turd DJ Khalid when it comes to fucking up songs.

I for the most part lost the passion to play video games. It's kinda been a downward spiral ever since the mid-late PS4/XBONE era. It's been over two years I still don't have a reason to buy a PS5. GamePass on the other hand is a godsend and I wish was avaliable when I as a kid. I would've spent the entire summer locked in my bedroom. I'm so glad it's also on PC too. I pretty much grew up with Sony and Nintendo, but both companies have gotten stale with me. I had a blast with the Uncharted series, Spider-Man, and the first 3 God of War games. I never got into the spinoff game with Chloe and Nadine, and I really don't care for the rumored sequel with Nathan and Elena's daughter.

Miles Morales felt more like $20-$30 DLC instead of a full $60 game, especially with how short it was. And Krato's son was annoying in the 2018 GoW. For me Kratos will always be the no-fucks giving badass who will slaughter anything and anyone in his way. Not some middle-aged fart with an annoying brat doing more puzzles and less decapitating and ripping bodies apart with his bare hands. I did really enjoy Horizon Zero Dawn the first time around on the PS4, and again currently on the PC. It is easily one of the best looking games from the past console generaton. And playing the game maxed out at 60fps is even better. My two main gripes is that the difficulty is all over the place. For example, you'd easily finsh off a hoard of Watchers, only to get taken down by a Thunderjaw that you didn't see from the corner of the screen. And second is that Aloy feels so robotic and lacking emotions. She has instances of being a smart-ass which I enjoy since it breaks the continuation of her going from point A - point B. And I haven't played the sequel yet, but I heard that her character more or less stays the same. Which is unfortunate, but I'll still end up playing it when it comes over to PC within the next two years.

Now to Nintendo.....or shall I specifically say to the Switch that is collecting dust in my drawer as we speak. Other than Tears of the Kingdom, I have no will to play any Switch game post 2018. Smash Bros was the last Switch game that I really enjoyed. Pokemon has been terrible since Gen 4 and they completely butchered the Diamond and Pearl remakes. Third party games are chugging on the current Switch hardware. Their online is still trash. And it's been 9 years Nintendo, instead of releasing old tracks make a new Mario Kart already. Okay, video game talk is over (for now)

Last Summer I was invited to my two friend's/former co-workers wedding. Even though the bride was quite well known and popular, they suprisenly had a very small wedding of barely 50 people. Mostly were family members and one or two other friends/coworkers. It was honestly the fanciest wedding I've been to. Every other wedding was at some church or a backyard. But these two spend $2 grand to get married by a lake with an all you can drink bar. Strangest part was that the fourth member of our friend group didn't show up, and he hung out with the couple more than anyone else. Although he was embarrassing and more of a burden when he got drunk, so I can see why his invitation got "lost in the mail". He definetly would've made an ass out of himself and would've ruined the whole night. Still, I felt bad for the guy since he's not really right in the head and is honestly lonely to the point where he's turn to partying and getting drunk just so he wouldn't be depressed.
