Feunski The point of these shows is to make the audience feel better about their own lives by thinking, "Well, at least I didn't turn out as bad as these screw ups". It's quite exploitative really. Just look at the shower scenes they put into almost every episode of 600 lbs life.

Until I find how much these folks are making then I feel worse.

They get paid $1500 to be on the show and $2500 to relocate to film the episode. And unless the person gets a follow-up episode, then any additional procedures (such as skin removal) they'll have to come out of their pocket. It's truly disgusting since they're on the same network that can pay the Duggars, Honey Boo Boo, and Jon+Kate anywhere from $15-$50 thousand PER episode.

Those women are on negotiated contracts for several seasons of televison, and are probably as famous as a reality tv star can be. They've been on teen mom for over 10 years now. The article you linked even states that these women only made about $5,000 for their original episode.

Sad... those shows don't serve their purpose. It teaches girls to lie, get pregnant & become cunts (yes I said it cus its true!) Girls these days either make some sort of makeup or vlog channel, Onlyfans or those stupid teen mom crap. They make those YT channels or IG channes or go on TV bc they don't have any skills and they don't want to make an honest living. They want to be sellouts & their parents are sad and discrased but they don't say it. If their moms & dads said something like "you're a fuckin screw up! You kept ya baby instead of giving it up or abortion! You do these shows, sponsors & YouTube. What do you expect to do with ya life?" 

The show ends when they are 18 or 19. 1 girl literally said on Twitter that no form of birth control works on her. So she's a walking future baby factory. They wouldn't last working in a store. Teen girls are worse moms than idk what. They even have the nerve to say they're good parents.

I'm not entirely sure as my response is based off of the TLC network. But I assume MTV pays very similar.
