It’s sort of a running joke on the internet and TikTok that people have never seen an Asian woman(specifically East Asian) pregnant before. Obviously on this site there are quite a few threads that are dedicated to pregnant Asian women but I want to ask you the people if this is true? Have you never seen a pregnant Asian woman too? I myself live in a very diverse city so I’ve seen at least a dozen pregnant Chinese women in fact the only time I’ve done a belly rub was on an Asian woman. Thoughts?

My boss is a pregnant Chinese woman. It just depends on where you're at.

That's also true in my case. Even though she's always avaliable to talk to, I've only seen her a handful times out of her office throughout her pregnancy. And with the exception of the pictures above, she has her bump well hidden.

Seems like the kind meme perpetuated by someone who isn't asian who doesn't see many asian people. It's the same as any other racial demographic really and depends on whether or not the woman in question subscribes to more conservative beliefs, which not all do.

Yea absolutely. I mean if you truly think about it a majority of the pregnant women on Earth are probably East Asian given the majority of the world’s population lives there.

I've known women of all races who were pregnant, esp. in multicultural diverse "post-racial" Southern CA where I live. In a modern global culture in the current year (we're entering a new one), there are still those who subscribe to more conservative ideas of pregnancy and the way women are treated in these countries, places and communities. I'm all for respecting differences in religious, moral and ethical standards each culture has, but I'm all for women (esp in this case, China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and all over the Asian continent, the largest of the world's 7 continents) should be given equal rights and status as human beings regardless of gender, biology, their condition and they express how they feel during pregnancy like their needs and desires. I've known like one American of Asian (specifically, Japanese born and raised in the New York city area) descent was pregnant 4 times in 13 years (an online friend who remarried and relocated) and she showed me a pic of a button Japanese train conductors give to pregnant women to promote their right to sit in the front row of their cars read "I have a baby in my tummy" depicted an anime-ish baby in a blanket. And her 2 husbands in life: both are Caucasian, one is from Wales in Britain and the other is a Bostonian though she lived in the Philly area for a brief period of time. She posted many Americans (regional culture varies in the east coast) need to be more polite about the subject of pregnancy, an international issue, then I wondered how would Japanese people view pregnancy, considering the physiological need to have pregnant women sit in the front rows of buses, trains and planes worldwide.

How about a culture like France where their culture's adage "there's beauty in everything" including pregnancy and another (my Cherokee and Osage ancestry) spoke of "beloved women" a class of women with powers in their villages...but we're discussing the billions of East, billions more of South, and throughout the various geographical Asian continent has so many women not really showing, bearing or discussing their pregnancies as much. The so-called Western world culture (most of Europe, esp. the northern half), North America where I'm in, Australia with New Zealand, even South American countries and southern Africa to some extent has advocated women to be more open about themselves in their pregnancy adventure, journey or experience. I believe that living in a puritan founded nation like the US, to have parents install a healthy view of pregnancy as something normal, beautiful and deserve of worthy respect, and the late 20th century after the huge radical social changes half a century ago (of course, my parents are boomers), the right environment to explore my fetish and fascination along with my genderfluidity or a deep sense I have I was a woman in a past life. On TikTok, you can see Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and also Vietnam have women familiar with the secular humanist progressive world we find on the uncensored parts of the internet (VPNs can break through IP barriers). And Embarazada, you were allowed to touch, rub or admire ANY woman you've just met, talked to and "befriended"...there's an adage "When in Rome, you do what Romans do or you're allowed to do that here."

So an update on my scenerio. Even though she isn't due until mid Feburary, my boss starting today is working from home until she pops. Which I knew she'd disappear completley before she got anywhere near full term.

The picture above was taken a couple weeks ago, so it sucks that's the biggest I'll ever get to see her as she has no form of social media.
