(July 12, 2021, 7:16 am)Fertility lover The world caters to NT extroverts and their syncophants like 99.99% of the time, so it was nice that, for once, a few social conventions broke our way.  My S/O and I often talk about this: Did the world become a scary and confusing place in 2020?  Did it become counterintuitive, nonsensical?  Did it feel like everyday brought new compromises and defeats?

YEAH, WELCOME TO OUR ENTIRE LIFE.
I hear that. Introversion is not a negative trait. It is a trait, period. Extroversion is not the way of the world and needs to stop being treated as the ideal.

The pandemic has been an awful thing and I've suffered personal losses that really fucking hurt. The silver lining, in my eyes, is that finally telecommuting is being looked at seriously as a permanent option. I've never understood the obsession with asses in chairs for jobs that can be done from anywhere. There are still a lot of companies holding out and trying to force people to come into the office, but I hope they get completely wrecked for it.

I THINK that I am an introvert but in all actuality I'm not.
According to the dictionary, an Introvert = a person who prefers calm environments, limits social engagement, or embraces a greater than average preference for solitude.
Psychology. a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings.Compare extrovert (def. 2).
VS. an Extrovert
an outgoing, gregarious person who thrives in dynamic environments and seeks to maximize social engagement.
Psychology. a person characterized by extroversion; a person concerned primarily with the physical and social environment.

I absolutely DID NOT stay home and quarantine when COVID-19 was rampant even though many, many things were shut own and unavailable. I just turned 60 so I'm at a slightly higher risk but I went out to places like Lowes/Home Depot. Gathered supplies at stores for myself & others, especially my more vulnerable friends and family.
I wore the mask and wash my hands profusely yet my wifey & I got COVID but it was an incredibly mild case PLUS we got the anti-body injections.
My family life suffered because they were FAR MORE cautious then I am but things seem to have recovered nearly back to normal.
This is my 2 cents worth

I'm glad you recovered, @Porkchop. If your normal routine represents that of an introvert, then you can logically call yourself that. Just because you went out during the pandemic due to shifting requirements doesn't make you into an extrovert all of a sudden. You were doing things to help other people. Most introverts will come out and do that if someone they care for is in trouble, same as most extroverts can quiet down and stay in if it's to protect someone else (like many had to do during the pandemic).

Playing social games and hearing voices of friends helped me I’ve been playing a certain mmo for well over a decade now. It gave me a sense of they we’re okay I’m with family 24/7 of the time and it made me think if something happens to one of us we’re all together atleast so ya i understand where your coming from fertility lover it’s a bag of mixed wins and defeats and the oddity it is to observe how the neuro typical world kinda got a glimpse of our own.it gave me a lot of hope to see people rise to the occasion that normally you would be supirsed or not suspect I also and I know this is a long shot people wana reevaluate there life and find what they truly want to do in life becasue life’s to short covid or no covid
