Heard here and there that mega has the ability to get the authority's involved with certain drives and whatnot. Has this actually ever happened to anyone or is it just a semi threat that is only there to scare people away from piracy? Is it something to be concerned about or is it just for bigger cases of movie and TV show copyright? Anyone know anything? Thanks

From what I have heard from others, it seems MEGA has a three strikes and you’re out rule. Have three copyright violations, then your account gets terminated. However here’s the catch, MEGA doesn’t know what is in your files. They’ve sort of kept it private that way. So, only people who have access to your links or drives can flag it as copyright violation. Then they open it up to see if it is. When it is, they terminate the drive but you get two more strikes until the account is terminated as well.

I don’t think they’d get the authorities involved unless they found stuff that was illegal, like CP for example.

This is just what I have heard though from other sites and forums.
