At that point, you might as try to make things go longer instead of just being acquaintances afterwards.

NGL this came to my mind but we haven’t come to this point yet. 

Also, parenting in Brazil is quite some responsibility because of the cost of everything here, so I still don’t know if I’m ready for it yet

In reality that's no different than almost any other country. Even with good insurance, many don't realize how expensive pregnancy and afterwards can get.
