So I have been searching for years for a meetup I haven’t been desperate enough to fly out or fly someone in but still . I recently found a girl in my city with twins (and she was real) , paid her $250 deposit and then when the meetup came she wanted the other $250 before hand , I knew it was probably gonna be a scam at that point but thinking with my second head I did it and was blocked like 10 minutes later . Thing is I specified it’s only an escort fee not for sex . I have no recourse right ?

No, you have no recourse. I'm sorry that piece of shit did that to you.
I also got scammed on Adult works like this anyone who asks for a deposit up front is usually up to no good in my opinion. I find the best way is to reply with a 10% of agreed total that way if it is a scam you are loosing but no where near as much.
If they ask for more money before meeting then decline. My case was she asked for £90 transport money, despite me offering to pick her up. Thought with second brain rather than head and agreed. I agreed to meet her at a shopping centre for convince of train, my place only a little ways away and to txt me when she got there no response till I message her and she replied she had been there the whole time, despite me constantly looking and occasionally hanging around only to then block me.
Good to see I’m not alone with getting scammed. Regardless, I’m sorry this happened to you. These girls ain’t loyal, at alll
I've encountered tons of scammers on Seeking. The con usually goes like this: They're flirtatious at first and generous with pics, etc., but then suddenly they need money for some kind of an emergency and begin acting seemingly more desperate. They often point to their approaching due date as a ticking timebomb and how poor they are. It inevitably turns out they were really pregnant several months or years ago and simply reused their collection of preggo content on new targets with different zip codes and fresh accounts.
I figured out a way to combat the spammers by taking a pic of their face and running it through Pimeyes. If they pop up in amateur porn or posted ads across disparate areas of the country/world, that's a big red flag. OnlyFans too if having one contradicts the facade they casted. I typically report them to Seeking's customer service - sometimes the account disappears, but not always. Sometimes I wonder who or what FAQ trains them on how to commit this fraud. Usually they claim to have gotten into legal trouble regarding visas and need the money immediately. Most of these scams are a variant of the "pig butchering" technique. Instead of pitching a fake investment, they need more and more money to finally meet in person. Hopefully this sad moment serves as a wake up call and you'll do better with your life going forward.
if you paid the deposit electronically ie an app like venmo, zelle, etc you should be able to dispute it with your credit card company, just say you didnt make the transaction and someone hacked my account
