Back in July, somewhere in this forum pointed out that MissReinaT from MFC had announced she was pregnant.  I was stoked about this, because I first saw her when she was pregnant something like 7-10 years ago.  I only managed to see her online on MFC once since that announcement, and she said she was 17 weeks (not really showing much).  If I did the math right, I believe she would be about 37 weeks at the time of this writing.

After a couple weeks of not seeing her online, I decided to purchase a month of her snapchat.  Frankly, it was disappointing.  She only posted videos maybe twice a week, and all but 2 of them were re-posts from a year or more ago. I did not renew for another month.

Near the end of October I noticed she still had not returned to MFC to do any camming, and I was bummed to be missing out on such a great model's pregnancy.  On one of her profiles (don't remember which site), she had an email address listed for 'business purposes'.  I took a shot and emailed her with a friendly inquiry if she would be producing any content during her pregnancy, and that I would be interested in buying it if she was.  She responded with the following,
Quote:hello, currently i can't but if i get enough money i can record one
I thought that was a little strange. She's been camming for the better part of a decade and has the equipment, and she didn't directly ask me to pay for anything specifically.  I let it go and figured that was the end of it.

Over the last month, I notice that her MFC profile is gone.  Her twitter account is suspended. Her manyvids page has disapeared. I can't find any official account of hers anywhere, I assumed she had retired.

Then yesterday, I spontaneously get an email from her which was a reply to the initial inquiry I sent her in October.
Quote:Hello i want to confirm if you are interested in a custom pregnancy video or not because i'm now doing those type of videos

Excited, I responded eagerly that I was interested.  She replied saying that usually she charges $25/minute for custom videos, but because I had been "honest" with her she would do a 10 mintue video for $200.  Yikes.  I know that some models ask for higher prices, and Reina is pretty popular so it wasn't too surprising.  It's more than I was hoping for, but I told her I could be willing to pay that.   We had a couple back-and-forths about how I would send her the money, but I kept getting more and more suspicious.  She's from England, and to the best of my knowledge English is her first language, but something about her emails seem like they aren't being written by a native english speaker- like the syntax is off.

Then she asked for payment in the form of an amazon gift card.  That's not suspicious in itself, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to file a dispute with visa if this turned out to be a scam.  However, next she asked me to send the code to some other email address, not the one I had been writing to, and that was the first major red flag for me.  At this point I'm assuming I could very likely be talking to someone that compromised her email account, and if someone has her credentials that could explain how her mfc/twitter/manyvids accounts all got shut down.  She also responded to me saying that amazon has stopped allowing gift cards to be sent to that address, so I should email it to myself and send her the code. (Did other people get scammed and complain to amazon about it?)

Without any official online account for me to contact her and confirm that I'm actually talking to the real Reina, I emailed her back and let her know my concern.  I told her I would go through with the sale on the condition that she was able to provide an image of her either holding a sign with the date on it, or showing that she's pregnant (so I know it's recent). It was a big ask- Models don't like providing content of themselves for free.  Sure enough, she responded to try and confirm her identity, but not with images of herself- instead she took a screenshot of her email inbox (contact names censored), which was totally worthless- a hacker would obviously be able to see her inbox.  She also sent an image of her bank statement.  All personal information was censored, other than the words "MISSREINAT, INC" in the address field.  I'm not sure what to make of this, but anyone capable of photoshopping 2 words of text onto a bank document could have forged this.  She sent an additional email to challenge my suspicions stating,
Quote:also don't mind me but you know that Gmail account is the safest email to use? because no one can access it only if they have your mobile phone ?

Regrettably, I told her of my further concerns and told her I would happy to buy any content that she provides through a site like manyvids, where I can be assured the money I'm paying is going to the real performer and I can be certain the content I'm looking for actually exists.  I explained that $200 is a lot of money, and for that amount it was important to me that it go to the real performer who I respect.  The fact that she seemed mildly offended, rather than appreciative that I was indeed concerned about her being the actual recipient of the money furthered my belief that this is a scammer. The last 2 emails she sent me since my last response informed me that "she was already giving me a good deal and would normally cost $375" and that I would be "removed from her buyers list" if I didn't go through with this sale.

So what do you guys think, am I being unreasonably suspicious, or does something seem fishy?  She purports to have lots of buyers wiling to pay her without the verification that I'm asking for, so if that's true I thought some of them might frequent this forum.  If anyone has had successful dealings with her in the last couple months I'd love to have my suspicions put to rest and support a model I've been a fan of for nearly a decade.

I can't speak to Reina specifically, but I hope I can provide some perspective for your dilemma here.

When Alexa Pearl was pregnant and did a custom for me she asked for an Amazon GC sent to an e-mail address other than the one I was communicating with. All of the merchant sites like ManyVids take a 10-30% cut, so it's not uncommon for a model to offer a discount off her posted rate when you pay via Amazon GC, CashApp, Paypal, Venmo, etc. It's a win-win: they get 100% of the cut and bring home more than they would have, and you save a little money. As for the different e-mail address, I just assume that her Amazon account was under another address.

HOWEVER, it's only a win-win if they actually deliver, because if they don't then you have no recourse for getting your money back. Alexa did deliver for me (and was generally really awesome to work with, in fact) and so did a handful of others, but the first time I got burned (by a boob model that had been featured in magazines and on YesBoobs - a reasonable enough track record) it left enough of a sour taste in my mouth that I swore off private payments. On ManyVids it takes some time to process a refund, but at least you will eventually get it if she doesn't deliver.

So, this has inevitably come up a few times during a discussion with a model about a custom idea. She says she doesn't accept customs on MV or IWantClips and wants cash transfer only, I say thanks but no thanks, they ask why, and I say that I've been burned before and now only place custom orders on sites like MV. This REALLY pisses some of them off. One model launched into this huge tirade, saying that I was personally insulting her integrity (when really it's absolutely not personal, just a policy of mine to protect myself) and that I'm a horrible person for actively wanting to cheat her out of 10-30% of her rightful payout. Then she blocked me. It's just not worth dealing with people like that, IMO.

Also, re: your suspicions about her language... are you new to the Internet? It is chock full of native speakers who fucking suck at written grammar.

All that to say, your overall experience with Reina so far is both seemingly plausible and raises some red flags. Her MV, Twitter, and MFC pages going away is a particularly huge red flag to me. My best advice to you is to ask yourself if she's worth taking a $200 risk. That's not a small amount of money and $20/minute is objectively steep regardless of her "discount."

Thanks for the response double.

Update: I'm  99% sure its not her.   Given I had doubts, I decided to stop responding to her for a while under the hypothesis that if it's someone impersonating her to try and con people, my silence would make a con artist think they're losing their mark and would respond quickly to try to encourage me further. Annnnd that's pretty much what happened. In about 7 hours they sent 3 emails to me while continuously escalating the urgency of me following through with the payment. 1) "you're getting it for half price now, I'll charge more if you don't buy it now" 2) "If you don't buy it now, I wont sell it to you later" 3) And lastly the nails in the coffin: The con sent this response in desperation,
Quote:U asked for a photo clearly you can see my bully this is the last proof i will ever give
The photo that was attached I immediately recognized as being from her previous pregnancy, a video which is widely available: https://anon-v.com/videos/17980/misslawr...22b6fdd22/  If it's really Reina, and she is was really willing to provide a photo of herself, wouldn't it be less effort to take a quick selfie and attach it to an email, than to dig up a decade-old screenshot of yourself masturbating and attach that?

Double I agree with you that typos and bad grammar don't automatically mean someone is an impostor, it was more about the frequency and consistency of those errors that gave me pause.  I would consider Reina to be one of the classier models, she always presented herself elegantly and my past interactions with were unlike the emails I received, and in this case she would have had $200 on the line, you'd think that's when she'd be the most professional.

So, I basically responded saying "you've confirmed my suspicions that you're impersonating Reina by using a photo from nearly 10 years ago that is widely available on the internet, don't contact me again".

I think it all went down like this...

Sometime between July-October someone gained access to her email account.
Next they gain control of or compromise her other media platforms: MFC, Twitter and Manyvids that I know of.
Then they try to con Reina's fans into sending them amazon gift cards.  They set up a new email account to receive the gift cards so that Reina can't regain access to her email and then use the gift cards herself.
Conned users, or perhaps Reina herself,  contacts the sites where her identity has been stolen and her accounts are closed.  This would explain why her twitter account is listed as "suspended" rather than just being deleted by Reina herself.
Conned users complain to amazon that the gift cards they sent ended up going to an impostor.  After Amazon receives multiple complaints about the same email address for the same issue, they no longer allow gift cards to be sent to that address.
Quote:Hello [my name] some fans reported that something is not working fine with amazon sending gift cards for other emails , if you had the same issue try to send the gift card to your email and send me the redeeming code thanks
(to try and prove that this person is Reina, they sent me a screenshot of her email inbox which showed 4 emails from amazon saying they had received a gift card)
Having all of Reina's main lines of communication with her fans shut down, they then resorted digging through her emails for opportunities to con people, which is why I only got a response a month after I had expressed an interest to pay her for content.

If she had only been asking for 30 bucks or something I would have probably paid immediately and not given it a second thought.  But for $200 I would expect the real Reina to understand my concern for assuring her identity rather than acting insulted by it.  It's a shame, I was really looking forward to seeing her during this pregnancy.

Agh sorry to hear that happened to you but I’m super glad you figured it out before you got scammed. Pretty scary stuff.

Hey SpecialT02,

If you want trusting models who aren’t pregnant but are completely open to doing customs for impregnation stuff and everything that goes with it (pregnant tests, making look pregnant, and stuff) and has a good price, try Cricketrosexxx or RedHotRiannon through IWC or Twitter. I’ve used them both multiple times for that stuff and they have always come through and are quite quick with good pricing and are willing to work through email means too with PayPal for better deals on both sides.
