I don't know if I'm making the situation worse by posting here but I feel like I need others opinions. I came across a hinge dating app match that felt "to good to be true". Gorgeous heavily pregnant videos and pics and claims that they are a surrogate and once they are done they just want to keep making babies with a permanent partner. So I did alot of searching on Google, instagram, and ticktock to try and figure out if this was some sort of scam or sick trick. Turns out it was. Found out the pics and videos are from a real person who is in fact not a surrogate has a fiance and had her twins not to long ago. My dilemma is whether or not to message the real person and tell them. I feel like it could really discust them and hurt them to find this out. Even If I tell them there is nothing they can really do to stop what has already happend I'm torn. I'm also torn to share the screenshots because unfortunately this person that stole these images and videos could be a part of this community. Already reported the problem to the dating app. Overall bummed that someone would go that far.

I think reporting them on Hinge was where your responsibility in this matter ends. I share your frustration because people are fucking assholes, but it's best to get on with your day now.

Yeah, do not reach out to the real person. If you already reported the fake dating profile, what exactly is she going to do with this information? Will she think you're a creep for hunting her down? Just leave it be.

Thanks for the confirmation.  Now that im over being annoyed and feeling less dramatic I think it's safe to share the fake profile for more context. Although it's amateur hour over here not sure the best way to share pic or video clip.

Nothing bad would happen from tracking them down & telling them off. Maybe they would learn their lesson. People with fake profiles think they can scam folks on any platform but once they learn their lesson they could change. It's not illegal to track someone down & tell them off. I know I've done it before. Nothing bad happened. Maybe the user could film her & send a message to others out there.
