How many members are having occasional difficulty connecting to the site? Do you receive an error message and/or a blank page? I myself have noticed this issue very recently. My host is looking into the problem, however we're probably going to migrate to a new provider and a hosting package with more bandwidth/resources.

Please vote. If you have something to add, leave a comment. Also, when the site is unreachable, try accessing it through a different IP and let me know what happens. Strangely, I can still access it using my cellular connection when it starts displaying errors over my main connection.

As of 8:00 pm Pacific Time, I can only connect to the site through cellular. It's timing out when using wifi or ethernet on my desktop.

Theres definitely been some weird accessibility the last day or so. It seems to be on the mend now.

I've noticed that most of the connection issues happen in the evening or during the night for me.

It happened to me a couple of days ago on both phone and computer. It took a couple of minutes to return back to normal of just waiting and refreshing the page.

Got a 503 for around 5-10 minutes.

FWIW -- this is still happening to me. The only pattern I've noticed is that I'm able to load a page or two from the site just fine, but then connections are refused for 5-10 minutes and I have to wait to go anywhere else. Then, usually, everything works just fine. It's almost like the old days when you wanted to get on the computer, so you booted it up, went into the other room to get some tea or something, waited a while, then came back in and could actually use your machine...

Damn, I thought the problem had mostly subsided. Does this happen often @Akhenaten? Is it something that coincides with loading a bunch of images/attachments at once?

We're still planning to migrate to a new host -- that's a pretty big undertaking though.

Edit: Something was consuming an insane amount of resources. I've reset things to see if there's an improvement (I received a few errors myself).

Well it didn't happen to me during his particular visit, but it might in a subsequent one. I'll update.
