I mean I think it's about average for twins at this point. But frankly I never checked how big others are at this point

Well, babies do love dairy.
I can't tell if it's that or just the fact that it's cold tbh

Well that’s adorable. If I were to guess the mechanism behind it, I would say that it’s because foods can change the flavor of amniotic fluid. Babies are instinctually attracted to sweet things to drive them to a mother’s milk, so I could see how the sweet flavor might calm them down. I don’t think the coldness of ice cream has anything to do with it; digestion releases enough heat that ice cream doesn’t lower the body temperature, so the little ones have no way of perceiving that aspect of it. To them, all ice cream is is the flavor of the fluid and the gurgling of its digestion (which also apparently soothes babies, but I doubt that ice cream in particular would produce an especially soothing noise).

Yaknow I have heard that just the sounds of my insides make them calmer, so I'm gonna end up trying this newer thing where basically a stethoscope type microphone records on my belly while I sleep, and then the parents can play the audio through a machine when they put the babies to sleep. I hope it works as well as we hope!

That's a great idea. Just in case that's not enough though, record your heartbeat as well if you can, as it has a similar calming effect.

I'm hoping It'll be audible in the first recording so I don't need to sleep with that thing on me twice lol

Waist measurement? Fundal height? Your doctor probably checks the latter routinely.

Actually you may be surprised to learn my doctor hardly ever checks my fundal height. With Singleton pregnancies it's a good judge of how you're doing. With multiples however, such as in my case, sizes tend to vary a lot and it's less helpful. This is instead replaced with more frequent trips for ultrasounds to keep a direct eye on things (which I enjoy a good bit bc seeing them on that screen makes me feel better about going through all of this). But I'll try to keep you in mind on my next trip and ask my doctor for a measurement! As far as belly measurement I'm 26 inches!
