I think you misjudged the tone of most of the article. I think it's also fair to assume that some of these women misinterpreted kindness or complimentary remarks as being hit on. Overall, though, it's a clickbait-y filler article and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Eh, it seems to be the usual "modern woman" crap with a mild slice of a third wave feminism mixed in. I imagine most of the authors who write this drivel are usually single and I can see why.
