I see a lot of posts that will indicate the images are of someone's friend, ex, classmate, cousin, and so forth. My immediate reaction is -- what the fuck, dude? What if someone recognizes her and makes the connection? Why risk it like that? Isn't it enough to simply post the pictures?
Please explain it to me, because I don't understand.

I don't even look at those threads. Their content is often terrible and such titles do not appeal to people to have a look. I couldn't care less if you know them. It's just one less thread for me to have a look through.

I feel the same way too. I doubt that many of them have their friend or family member's permission to post their photos here. I sure as heck wouldn't even if I had permission.

I agree. Even faceless someone might recognize a tattoo or 2. If you are posting family members, get help.

It's not even about somebody potentially tracing the picture back to you. Those kinds of threads show a clear and blatant disregard of trust and honesty. It's disgusting, and I don't understand how people who do this think it's ok.

Screw them, half of them aren't even relatives or even know them personally. It's just wish fulfillment bordering on self-delusion.
