Thanks for the replies, all. I was worried I might get roasted, but all of this is actually very kind.

Akhtenaten/doubleintegral --- I agree with both of you. On the one hand, I don't know if it will work with my therapist since I have been moving in the "Fuck nonmonagamy, let's be serious" direction the last few years with my wife. On the other hand, I was the one who brought up nonmonogamy in our discussions (my wife and I were nonmonogamous briefly before marriage) so I don't think it's right to be too critical of the therapist. (Although maybe my therapist is very left-leaning? I imagine I would get very different advice if I was talking to a Jordan Peterson type.)

Anyway, we'll see. I think my therapist is challenging me, which is good, but I do think he was a bit blasé about how difficult online dating/casual sex hunting is, in general, not just when it comes to pregnant ladies.

paniniX --- the barber comment gave me a laugh. (Thanks for the "Everyone expects a lot from their 20's part," it helps a lot hearing someone else say that.) Call me a glutton for punishment, but I'm sticking with the therapist for now.

LTKNT101 --- actually, I *do* want kids. My wife and I are planning to have three and everything.
Akhenaten
Monogamy and non-monogamy have no bearing on the "seriousness" of a relationship. Be careful there. You can be deadly serious with more than one partner. But if you two are looking at things and thinking "you know, it'd be better if we just focused on our own relationship together from now on," then hey, rock on, go with that. I didn't know you two were non-monogamous before and that you had shared that with the therapist, so that does change things a little. I dunno... still something you two have to decide with each other. I don't think your therapist's leanings matter all that much, at least not if he's any good. My therapist and I have different political leanings yet they've helped me tremendously with a number of challenges over the past couple of years.
