I've gotten my preggo-horror fix these last couple of months.

Rewatched Species II just to see if it was as godawful as I remember it. I actually liked it a lot better this time because I've come to love cheesy, campy and borderline tasteless horror over the years. It's interesting how the movie, even one so grotesque, is trying to capture a sense of eroticism, but that was probably in line of the vision of HR Giger who created the alien design. A must watch for those who love the idea of spontaneous pregnancies, although the result is pretty bad for the ladies.

Prevenge is a good one, seemingly about the fetus commanding its carrier to do bad things, although it's left a bit ambivalent about what really goes on.

Watching old favorite Splice again. It deals with freaky DNA stuff and it's got a pregnant Sarah Polley in the final act (pregnancy caused by... unfortunate happenings).

Species II is in my top 10 list of pregnancy related horror films. I fell in love with it the moment I saw a clip of the iconic hotel impregnation scene on Dailymotion. It’s basically a film about a possessed guy going around recklessly breeding women he encounters. It’s the stuff of impregnation fantasy and a must watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it. 

Prevenge wasn’t that great in my opinion. Born starring Alison Brie is a much better film that has the concept of fetus controlling the mother’s mind from inside the womb. There is also a good film called Baby Blood that features fetus controlling the mother which is a fitting concept because pregnancy is like a possession. A kind of take over of the mother’s body by a parasite situation.

Splice is on my list of films I haven’t seen yet. From your description it promises to be quite an enjoyable viewing.

Splice is wild, with gender metamorphosis and some creative body-horror.

I cannot imagine a movie like Species II being made today. It was made on a decent budget and released in theatres whilst carrying tons of nudity + some really kinky stuff. It all feels very "late nineties" watching it today.

Hannah John-Kamen already looks mesmerizingly cute. And now pregnant she is...more or less the same as before.

You can find this movie on the streaming website Hurrawatch. She looks pretty good in that dress.
