(July 23, 2022, 4:11 pm)Thebige What’s the largest pregnancy in which all the babies survived AND the pregnancy was achieved naturally? I’d guess sextuplets?I saw something on the news a few months ago that said that a women gave birth to naturally conceived nonuplets (nine babies) but I haven't heard anything since. News media stopped talking about the story. Probably the lack of medical malpractice.
Should be the largest naturally insemination belly from having sex give the guy a little bit of credit

I knew there were supposed to be more, and that some hadn't survived, but the last I heard was there were originally supposed to be ten. I know I posted about this in another thread already, but I saw a news article years ago where some girl gave birth to more than eight, beating octomom's record, and survived. It had to be implants; I would be incredibly shocked if it was conceived naturally. It's entirely possibly I'm misremembering this, but all I remember is seeing the article and wondering how it wasn't making bigger headlines, and wondering how she'd survived it. What I can say is this happened sometime between 2014 and 2018-, I may even be bold enough to narrow it down further to some time between 2014 and 2016. This definitely didn't happen in North America. (July 24, 2022, 7:42 am)henrycrun(July 24, 2022, 12:21 am)PenniesandNickels Does Octomom count or nay?Nay. In vitro and not all survived. There were twelve implanted. I always wonder what was going on in the Octomom's head. First, what doctor would have implanted twelve embryos? I believe some of them were identical twins, so they divided in the womb. In any case, she shows up for an ultrasound with ten? twelve? babies in her belly. I'm sure the doctor would have suggested a selective reduction down to a more manageable number. What would that woman be thinking when she looked at the ultrasound, looked at her belly (which must already have been very big) and said, "No thanks, doc, I want to carry all of these babies at once! I don't care how big I get!" I'd think even a rabid right-to-lifer would have recognized that the situation was untenable. Was she a publicity seeker? Or did she just have a screw loose? I don't know.
I sometimes wonder where these stories of 12 babies came from since I've never seen one.
Nadya Suleman (The Octomom) as I read it had 6 embryos implanted and two split spontaneously into two pairs of identical twins. This also happened during one of her previous pregnancies. By the way, she had 14 kids in total. Also, until about the end of her caesarian section it was thought she was carrying seven.
