I don't think it's fair to label this an obsession. The guy is just excited about a possible relationship with a pregnant woman(whom among us wouldn't be?). Women aren't exactly the easiest to read when trying to develop an intimate relationship, hence the creation of this advice thread.

Dude, she flat out TOLD you that she doesn't want to go out or meet up or anything. If we assume that you actually did read the situation correctly in person, it's entirely possible that she changed her mind. Shit happens.

And since you said you don't know what "I'm just being over-protective because I'm pregnant" means, it means she's letting you down easy. Slightly more creative than "I can't go out on a date Thursday night because I have to wash my hair" but basically the same thing: finding an excuse to not go out with you without saying she doesn't want to go out with you.

Don't take it personally, just move on. If she's really that interested in you then she has your number.

He is extrapolating from what I assume is a very brief random encounter and wants to continue pursuing it despite being rebuffed at least once. He may not be obsessed yet, but he's on the path to it.

This is the truth.

I did see the picture -- she was gorgeous. But she isn't going to reach out to you, man. You can stay hopeful, but please be realistic. She was just a random pregnant chick who flirted with you a bit and that's the whole story. It's happened to me a million times, too.

Yep. She was probably just flattered that someone was flirting with her while pregnant and had some fun reciprocating.

Fair enough, you all have your opinions but I was actually just getting it off my chest so I can move on to the next 1.

I think the people saying you were getting "obsessive" were jumping the gun. My only concern was that you were still holding out some hope. Don't wanna see you lead yourself on!
