I am sad that Camille Cottin’s Avril didn’t get the chance to be sexually active like she seemed to have partially wanted at some point during the flick. There’s just a brief sex scene that stops mostly because of the husband and that’s about it. There’s no other moment where she gets to sexually express herself while pregnant. It would’ve been interesting to see her loosen up like that while watching Juliette Binoche’s Mado finally mature into a proper mother figure.
