As a woman who has been trying to have a kid since 2013, yeah it is damn hard and depressing to always feel like you’re failing every month for year after year of having unprotected sex. And there I was mid November 2019, not hearing anything about any virus yet and I find out I’m pregnant! After seven years of glorious bare back sex with not even a miscarriage (to my knowledge) I find myself naturally knocked up and we are elated it’s happened! Of course with the quarantine it’s hard to fully look to the future without any fear, but we all could have died yesterday but we didn’t were still here and there’s never been any guarantees in this life. You learn this when your a couple who has infertility issues. So we’ve decided to hope for the best and do what we can to keep ourselves and the people around us healthy by staying indoors and being super diligent in cleaning hands and avoiding our families, which is the worst part but it’s way worse for nurses and other frontline workers who have small children who can’t go near their children because they don’t want to risk them catching the virus off them.

I hope we can come out of this and not overwhelm the hospitals. If the health care system collapses not all hope is lost we just have to do what we can for each other to help. Might be a good idea to learn how to help someone heal without a hospitals assistance. Doesn’t hurt to learn what they do and what could be done without all the equipment. 

My guy has a condition called cyclic vomiting, and the only thing that seemed to help him was taking a hot bath and then I’d ice his back with an ice pack and feed him Gatorade popsicles until the vomiting stopped. If that didn’t help stop the vomiting then the only thing that got him better was going to hospital to get fluids through an IV so he could stay hydrated. I’ve also had to pack and fill a deep surgical cut he had to have made on his tailbone area when he had a cyst or something that needed to be drained and lanced. He couldn’t do that himself so I did for him and it was very satisfying to watch his would heal from the inside out thanks to packing the wound with gaize and keeping the area cleaned and bandaged. 

Bottom line is to sharing all this is that don’t underestimate yourself just because you don’t have the title “nurse” or “doctor”. We still have electricity and the internet, learn everything you can about the virus. If you or your family member becomes sick you will at least know what to expect to some degree and learn what has helped others to heal, there must be stories of people beating it without any hospital intervention. Granted some people are more susceptible to it because they have weakened immune system so they definitely need help. But if the rest of us whose immune systems are healthy can do what we can to help each other heal that will be the final adaptation that helps is get through this.

I think people here in general take things too far in the direction they want to go, not everything has to be an absolute. I get using over-exaggeration to make a point or express themselves but at worst they're just being full of themselves and at best at least one other member is going to take issue with your statements. Why can't we just be more civil? There is some truth in what most people say here, but when giving opinions perhaps we can actually make it sound like such, start with "I think" rather than coming across as a know-it-all. Too many statements here, or opinions being interpreted as statements. Anyone can be wrong. As for myself, the whole religious upbringing thing holds a lot of truth for me, I for one probably wont have sex until I'm married, I don't really want to wait but I just... can't do it. I believe sex is special, and that it shows your future wife just how much you care about her if you save yourself for her. I wouldn't shy away from getting wrapped up with a girl with children of her own however, I don't really mind if she's slept with someone else either. I don't hold people's past choices against them, what matters to me is whether they remain trustworthy going forward. In fact, I am extremely attracted ot hurt or broken women, those who have been used, abused or abandoned, most of whom do have children it is true in my experience. I might have a lot of other issues but the one thing I remain confident in os my ability to treat a woman right and I for Damn sure wouldn't leave her hurt or alone with a kid. Women are abandoned so easily these days because "marriage is overrated" or "unnecessary" or so it seems with each passing generation. There's no commitment. So my dream is to marry someone pregnant or with a kid/s so that I can become not just a husband and a father but a hero and savior as well and be the man she deserves.
