Why do you ask for links to profiles?

I honestly want to understand what the thought process is here. When myself or someone posts an entire pregnancy progression, theres an 80% chance someone will ask for the source. Now most of us know thats a big no no. But even then, sometimes I will get PMs asking politely for the source.

Why? If I posted the entire progression, downloaded the pictures in the highest format, what is it that the few of you seek to gain from knowing the source? This isn't as much a rant as a general interest, I really dont understand.

I've seen all sorts of questions asked by members of the community. Most of it seems innocent.

For example, some people want to know the sex of the baby. I imagine this is because they believe the old wives' tale that bellies look different depending on the sex of the baby (spoiler: they do not), and that is somehow exciting to them.
Others might want to know the weight of the baby when it was born, perhaps as some kind of measure of how much effort the birth might have been, or how much mama was waddling toward the end with that big ol' baby in her.

Anyway, I assume it's for gathering additional information like that, or maybe pre-pregnancy photos and the like. Maybe I'm naïve and they're going to private message the poor girl and creep her out. Ugh.

Most of the time when folks ask for links, I simply decline because, unless I know them or they've been online with us for years, I assume that they'll screw it up and post inappropriate comments... etc,

BUT... for me, I DO sometimes wanna see the entire post including the before and after pictures...
Was something missed, where there other links to another page posting even more pregnant content.

I've also found that a particularly awesome pregger may receive a comment of three from other pregnant woman who have been or are currently pregnant with twins or more. Then I'll investigate their links also...
You might say that I'm checking out ALL possibilities...

Just my two cents, however

Answering tomostrife’s question, I ask for links because a majority of the time a lot of photos and possibly videos are missing and/or not at it’s full resolution. Not that you do that, tomostrife, but if you’re not a well known user here or someone who knows what they’re doing, I’m just going to assume that you didn’t get all the photos and videos, and that the resolution isn’t at it’s best.

I’m a sucker for pre-pregnancy photos and the comparison shots. Again, not many do post all of the photos.

This. I have a Brain, I like to use my Brain to avoid every possible instance of getting into trouble. Following, leaving comments, etc it’s not my thing and I don’t condemn that kind of action. It’s common sense, so why are teens/adults fuck up all the time by not using common sense?!

Ironically, aren’t we all creeps by browsing through Instagram profiles alone, just to find and download new photos and posting them as attachments here on a fetish based website? That’s my question.

I'm on the same thought with tomostrife.
1. Privacy. Though we're kind of ... let's say "following one's profile", at least we're doing it by just ourself, rather than get more people to involved.
2. Risk. Law of attraction, the more people involved into something, the higher the risk. We don't want to get into that.
3. Mass. 10 people means 10 minds with 10 different acts. What if 1.000 people or more ? It just need 1 or 2 sloppy reactions, things gone messy.
4. Habits. Campaign for better habits or customs, expecially for new member, repetition & common acts will become a public custom.
We start sharing once, it'll be our habit. People will follow, become common habit, the more chance it will gone messy.
5. Wise (conclution). When we have to choose, we do what the best we can for ourself, for subject (the expectants), and for public (this board).

Sorry if it's not what you want to see,
We're just doing the best we can, so good things may be keep going on this great board without getting messy. Cheers

Call it passive vs. active, if you will. There's a huge difference between being a passive creep (lurking, saving pics, sharing pics) and an active creep (commenting).

Figured. Good to know that there is a line.
