Hmm... I'm not sure if there is a busiest day, although I'm sure if any moderators have additional access to analytics could advise otherwise.

From my experience, it comes in 'waves'. There will be a period of a few days (maybe a week or so?) which are generally quiet and then there's suddenly a few days of much more activity... Then it quietens off again... 

It's quite sporadic, really.
