Akhenaten
I brought up a somewhat similar concern a year and a half ago: https://preggophilia.com/always-somethin...in-about-t

To summarize, my complaint was that most of the pregnant content out there now is so... produced. And mediocre. It's designed to be boring fluff that gains likes and followers. I don't care for it most of the time, but since that's the current channel, that's what we have to work with.

i concur. the insta "influencer" aesthetic is kinda trampling over everything else in it's path, and it's all just so... bland. it all just looks the same after a while.

Good response from everyone...thank you! I DO remember now that Akhenaten had a similiar post to mine.
I must point out that the numbers I entered were just preggers that I found worthy of following and posting, I have a whole file of preggers filed simply "Not worthy of posting". And there are TONS of preggers within!

I can see how over saturation of content can lead to difficulty in locating threads due to the fact new threads are being created nearly every minute. I’ve noticed it when I want to add content to an existing thread that has not had activity in over 30 days.

The longer a thread goes unused the more it gets buried. I thought there was a way to “pin” posts for quick reference. If not this is a feature that could help.

Lastly, how does one define what is worthy or high-quality content and what is mediocre content? Is it defined by how attractive (face) the woman is? Is it belly size? New content vs content that is over 5 years old? Porn stars vs social media models?

It’s a tough question because the answer will vary depending on individual taste. However, from the comments I’ve read it would seem like there is a dislike to content that is posted just because the subject is pregnant.

Maybe there is also an annoyance to the frequent posting that occurs daily. Maybe if guys would wait a few weeks and give time for the posting to cool off that would help. I post quite often and I am most likely viewed as part of this problem.

Should there be daily posting limits? Obviously some form of regulation would need to be implemented to improve the experience from what it is now. However, there are cons to that idea as well.

I would love to see a way to sort threads based on total likes. Is there such a method or is it always sorted by most recent post?

I think threads are sorted by most recent, number of views, and commenting activity. Posts that get no traffic fall to the bottom of the list. The longer they go unused the more buried they get.

the "quality" of content posted is up to personal tastes and conjecture. i see bland blonde, tanned, cookie cutter z-level K girl wannabe insta "influencers" get posted every day and get TONS of likes all the time. that content, for me personally, is just wasting my time. i see posts of obese pregnant 40 year old housewives i wouldn't even take a second glance at if i saw them on the street posted here frequently.

i don't think some newer posters seem to get that all because a woman is pregnant, and she posted a bunch of pics/videos to her social media, it doesn't necessarily make it worthy of documenting here.

Would sorting threads by the number of likes for the OP, or number of aggregate likes throughout a thread, be a worthwhile addition? That and displaying total likes (for OP and subsequent posts, or just OP) within the thread list -- so "1.2k Likes". This should be fairly simple to implement actually.

Another idea I've toyed with is a quality/likes filter (total likes within a thread divided by total posts, along with recency). This wouldn't be as easy to introduce.

If showing likes and sorting by likes would improve your ability to navigate content, that would be worth introducing I think.

I'll be honest, the sentiment a lot of people seem to have towards the insta influencers is the same way I feel about all the porn threads flooding the general videos section. To me, that's all the same. "Oh, another thread about some cam worker I have no interest in. Dope."

So I don't think sorting by popularity is really going to do it. Maybe child boards? Pregnant Pictures having a section for porn and a section for the non-porn and do the same for General Videos?
