Psychology will study phobias of course and relate them to the mind. Biology related to the reptile brain portion of our brains we have which gives us instincts, which has been there for a while in evolution. Then the sociological factors can contribute to perception of pregnant women in culture and childbearing as well as parental feelings. Any of these can shed light on how people act, think, or feel in relation to any topic.

As woman having a pregnant fetish I’m also terrified about being pregnant and having a child. It’s better on my fantasies, irl I couldn’t handle the pain. If every month I die with simple cramps, being in labor is unimaginable for me.

Great explanation from another view in a seemingly male-dominated fetish, judging by our demographics.

I can't imagine what the pain must be like. I know a lot of people debate the volume of pain, and some men might say that birth is comparable to being kicked in the balls. Yet, I'd say it is subjective to the individual. I have an irrational fear of heights sometimes or roaches. I'd say any of these explanations are normal since I can relate them to fears of my own.

I am lactose intolerant and had an ex who was, as well. She compared her period cramps and bloating to what happened when she consumed dairy. So I might actually have some small notion of what periods feel like. Spoiler: they suck, god they fucking suck.

Pain, to me, is such a fascinating phenomenon of chemistry, anatomy, and evolution. I still think that it is subjective to that individual though. Everyone has different reactions to certain drugs or something like coffee/alcohol, but yeah there can be some similarity. Worst pain I have felt is due to eczema. Trust me, I'd rather get a migraine again rather than burning, itchy, scabby skin lol. Sweat hits it, it is like putting a limb covered in cuts in lemon juice for an analogy lol. That's my subjective experience. That's why I like that doctors use that scale of pain felt to get a basis. Cool to compare what others might rate as a ten compared to other things they've experienced and other opinions. Of course, the pain sucks ass but we can learn so much from the mind and body interacting that influences our thoughts.

Out of curiousity, do you ever dress up pregnant to enjoy your fetish? Some women do, and so do some men. There is a thread or two about it here. As a man, I have no impulse to dress up, but, lordy, do I love pregnant women's figures!
