Got a question for everyone: Does anyone know how to download full videos from the Internet Archive?

I've found that it has all 3 of Kelly Evan's previous pregnancies catalogued there (and she it looks like she got massive every time, just like her current one)

You can view entire newscasts on the site for free...but only 1 minute at a time. As in load up a 1 minute clip, watch it, close it out, load up the next 1 minute clip, then watch that one. Not exactly viable to record several hour long broadcasts.

They have a "Borrow" program where you can pay 25 bucks per broadcast, and they'll mail out a USB, which you then have to return before 30 days pass. So, again, not viable.

So yeah. If anyone knows of any Internet wizardry that'll let me download (or at least VIEW full broadcasts), please let me know!

Firefox's VideoDownloadHelper plug-in allows you to download the video you're watching on Internet Archive, but currently I can only seem to use it to download that 1-minute clip segment. It won't download all the segments at once, they have to be done individually.

There are indeed! I have one local news broadcast from 2010 involving a heavily pregnant reporter saved and queued for archival, as I saw it on TV when it aired and was ecstatic when I discovered that the Internet Archive had it saved.

You'll be glad to learn that this is incredibly simple: due to the format in which the Internet Archive saves live news broadcasts, all you need to do is navigate to the "Network" tab of "Developer Tools" (found in every major web browser AFAIK) and download each individual minute as .mp4s as they procedurally load. A program such as ffmpeg can then combine the individual files into one, single, seamless video.
