I've been here for a few weeks now, and while I am enjoying myself, I'm still having trouble getting settled in. I want to PM people and chat one-on-one about preggo stuff as well just make general small talk. I don't know who is and who isn't willing to talk though, or who will still be active on here longer than a few weeks. I do have my account set up to receive PMs-, I made sure of that after seeing somebody else having issues with PMs on here.
I prefer chatting through PMs as I prefer personal one-on-one interactions, and I wanted to establish some connections on here. I did read the rules on how
So to anybody else who is here, is anybody else having trouble getting settled in and feeling "comfortable" on here?

If you're wondering who's going to stick around, you might try checking the "Joined" note under each person's avatar. If they've been here for a decade, they're probably not going anywhere.
And as for who will be receptive to chatting, people who are conversational in the Open Discussion sub-forum will more often than not be friendly and responsive to a PM. I think people who are just posting content and saying "hot, moar plz" probably won't be the best conversation partners.

To play devils advocate, I've had a bunch of accounts but have been around here since like 2013 or so.
