I took a trip to get away from all the cold and found this at the beach.

My Portugese isn't so good, but her English was okay, so we had a short conversation.
She was 4 days over with her second, a boy, and live only a few blocks from that beach.
That was 4 days ago and she still hasn't delivered, so I have no idea how big that baby will end up.

It shows that American preggoes have too much....something to walk around like this, and foreigners have less compunction about it...thank God! Great photos!

So this was in Brazil (since Portuguese is spoken there, the rest of South America speaks Spanish). In many societies, pregnancy is viewed in a better way than I noticed in the US, but the US isn't the worst place in the world for its societal treatment of pregnant women. Europe, east Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Canada too I realize their societies hold pregnancy in good high regard. Maybe in these places, you'll find sexy, beautiful and high-esteemed pregnant women (well, to define these traits is in the eye of the beholder). In first or developed world nations, there may be lower birth rates per woman or family size, but women do have the right to decide their lives and reproduction rights...but imagine a culture where women are celebrated for having many kids (ah, my fantasy, a place where lots of women are pregnant!) I believe every child should come to the world planned or supported, and every mother should be proud or willing to bear a child.

I've seen a few when I went on vacation (family down there, etc.). A lot of teens from where I stayed. Glorious.
