There's no point of keeping them up if every time you try and view it you get hit with an "excessive views" message and you can't download or copy the videos over to your own drive. A good example of this is BigFatPanda's drive.

Dunno why people are having issues with his drive, ive been watching stuff just fine. Kinda found an experimental way of a workaround for the "excessive views" cause its literally just that: excessive views. Drives that dont get mentioned in the thread to where people will instantly look and view dont get hit by them and when they do, they refresh after a week or so of being untouched(been experimenting with the ones with that issue). I've been in his drive for a few days now with no issues, mostly cause people forgot about it.

When it gets to a point where you pray that not enough people has viewed a specific Drive for a week just to be able to view the videos (let alone having to find a third party solution to download said videos), then it's not worth it in my opinion.

Thats not a work around, thats just waiting for a week just to maybe have a chance at watching a video

Either way, I slowly been recording the ones I like and save them to my portable drive

I disagree, as long as there's content, leave it up. It sucks that you weren't able to access the files you wanted at the time, but the fact that you were unable to because of "excessive views" means that other people were able to perfectly fine.

Just a way to bypass the whole excessive views thing...
On a video bring up the options and "make a copy". This will send "copy of ..." to your drive and you can watch the video from your drive.

That doesn't always work since this can and has been disabled on some Drives.

That's being unfair since it's basically a first come first serve with no way of downloading or copying the files over to your drive if you get a excessive views error. The point of sharing your drive here is so EVERYONE, not just a few people can view the content. If you can't do that, then the drive should be taken down.

Isn't it still possible to download them? Haven't had any problems doing that.

Some Drives have downloads or copying disabled.
