First baby kicking animation completed.

I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to be happy with my animations.  I only share this because I spent a lot of time on it and I know a lot of you guys wanted to see Serena's babies jostling in her tummy.

I could list a lot of things to improve, but these are where I would start:
1) Her eyes should follow the baby's movement
2) She needs to move more to look realistic- while her belly bulge is moving around, the rest of her is completely static and that doesn't look natural
3) Longer source animation- this was only like a 5 second clip that I replayed several spots in reverse to make the clip longer- this makes the animation jerky

Let me know if you guys have any other suggestions!

Animation is a tough skill to master, let alone learn. And this is still pretty good.


In my experience, I've always loathed animating scenes compared to doing stills and screenshots due to the animations either being too static or not long enough. As well as having the same issues that you've mentioned such as having to reuse the same 5 second clip multiple times, or making sure everything in the video is perfectly synced.

I know when I was doing animation in Blender, you can parent the eyes to an object (either real or empty) and then have that object follow the movement bumps or parent the eyes to the bumps themselves.

Yeah, just taking a break for now. I was/am getting too wrapped up in this stuff and it was negatively effecting me in real life.
