how to download hls stream?

Ever since the site went down and came back, they decided to break up the videos in segments and use . ts files instead of mp4. So that free account method doesn't work anymore. So either

1. Pay for a subscription

2. Use HSL or Ant downloader (which is slow and only downloads a segment of the video)

3. Wait until a new method and/or site appeaers.

they gave me free premium for 3 days. I guess hls downloader will only work if you have a premium account. otherwise it will fail to download the full video.
damn man the good times are over.

Nothing's worst than someone who pirates content and then locks it behind a paywall/ segmented files. Im hoping those greedy a**holes get taken down again or another recording site shows up and give them a run for their money.

HLS streams are now the norm, you'll start encountering it more and more on various websites.

I'll be honest, I'm quite surprised Chaturbate hasn't done something like Recurbate, have creators opt in to recording their stream, then people can pay the creator to see the stream back. Kinda like twitch with VODs etc.

Either way, Recurbate is definitely not taking many chances now.

Downloading is a huge waste of time and storage when these 2+ hour recordings only have 10 minutes of movements and the rest is just the model sitting there doing nothing. I end up just paying the $20 and screen record with OBS anyways. At least then I can skip to the good parts instead of having to download a 4+GB file, then spent time editing out the filler.

You'd think that Chaturbate having video on demand service would be a no-brainer but here we are.

That's because it's a horrible idea when you already have to deal with tens of thousands of models on a daily basis. Hulu and Netflix don't have to deal with new content being added almost every minute, nor the consistant turnover of models joining, getting banned, and or never returning. It wouldn't make sense for them to keep recordings of a model who popped 6 months ago and never returned.
