Quoting someone on mobile results in a blank comment.

When I'm trying to quote a comment with a reply on my phone browser, as soon as I hit reply only the previous quote is visible and my comment is missing.

Can you post a screenshot of this? Is this a recent problem? If it is recent, have you started using a new device or browser?

Quote this post, add some text and, rather than replying, choose "Preview Post" and capture whatever shows up. I'd like to figure out what might be causing this. Thanks!

I somehow can't post a screenshot, but essentially when I try to quote a comment and erase part of the quote and just focus on a specific part, my comment gets cleared and the result is just the quoted text.

If you can get a screen grab, that really would help.

In the meantime, press the "View source" button. That should allow you to edit quotes without this problem arising.

The view source button works great.

Without using it there is an issue when you delete the first character of a quote below another quote it will combine them. As shown below: I delete the letter "I" and it joins the text to the quote above.
