I'm wondering if we can make a rule about this (not that new folks are likely to read the rules, but still) because there have been an increasing number of old threads getting bumped just to say "wow she r so hot i would put me penor into hr bely lol." It's getting old.

All forums have had this recurring tendency over the years of old threads getting bumped. It may be old, but in the long run it really doesn't matter.

While I agree that in a lot of cases the "she r so hot" kinds of statements can be annoying, I figure if someone has something worthwhile or otherwise useful to say about a post, regardless of its age, they should have the freedom to add their post to the thread. I don't see a problem with it as long as it's from that latter point of view.

What about, you can only necro a thread if your post includes a picture?

For c1025018, the point is some users are aggravated that older threads are getting responses months after they were originally posted. In many cases, the posts in question are "she r so hot" or something else like that which is generally annoying. Those users who are annoyed would like for it to stop. The only problem with stopping it is it would take away the general freedom of using the forum.

It's just one of those things that go along with forums, and it sometimes gets on a person's nerves.

Perhaps if it were possible (not sure what internet forum software is used here), a plugin could be written for the forums that causes threads to not get put at or near the top of the latest threads page unless there's either hyperlinks or images in the newest post.

EDIT: Heck, call me insane, but I'm also wondering if a nested forum format wouldn't better suit this site. Then again, that's probably asking way too much at this point. But it would make things a bit more organized in regards to thread topics and different pic groups having their own dedicated discussions.

I agree with Pumpkin too. I've come to the point that I know who the repeat offenders are with the nonsense posts and if a thread was last updated by them I usually skip the thread and don't check it. This just comes with the territory with online forums sadly.
