Okay, so I have this idea for a pregnancy themed adult cartoon.

Not What I Expected!

Premise
The series focuses on six women in a single pregnancy self help group. The main character is actually the one who leads the group, a semi-retired guru of sorts named Elsa Jones whose son, Todd, still lives with her. In actuality, he is also the father of the baby to one of the women. The humor comes from Elsa having to deal with her six subjects who put up with problems of their own, as well as her son's hair-brained schemes.

Characters
Elsa Jones: A 50-something, semi-retired self help guru who runs the pregnant singles meeting. She had her son by herself after her husband abruptly left her and tries to impart her wisdom to women facing similar struggles, that is if anyone is willing to hear her. She tries to maintain her already hectic life.

Todd Jones: Elsa's 20-something son who is trying to sell his app which he claims will change the world. Despite his immature behavior, he is actually intelligent and very observant. He is the father to the baby of one of Elsa's subjects.

Maya Rosario: A hard working woman who has no time to slow down. At the advice of a friend, she went out and accidentally got knocked up, but decided to keep the baby so that she could "have an anchor". It is revealed that Todd is the father of her baby.

Iris Lee: A progressive influencer who agrees to be a surrogate to a couple she knows. When they end up dying, she gets stuck with having to carry the baby to term and starts reflecting on her choices.

Natalie Grant: A bisexual punk rock programmer who decided to get inseminated on a dare. While she won't admit it, she loves the feeling of pregnancy and the thought of being a mommy. Her hair is always different.

Tanya Morris: An aspiring dancer and singer who became pregnant through a one-night stand. She doesn't mind the attention and does all she can to get her name out there to the masses, turning her pregnancy into "her story".

Sarah Wright: A teenager who comes from a privileged family. Her boyfriend, now her ex, was scared off by her parents. She wants to break free from her home and be independent. She admires Natalie.

Dr. Naomi Shaw: A scientist trying to make a breakthrough. She impregnated herself using her own DNA to create working sperm and "a couple other things". She challenges Elsa the most as she does not consider her work "real science". She comes to the meetings because she is lonely.

Cast
Maya Rudolph as Elsa Jones

Justin Roiland as Todd Jones

Natalie Morales as Maya Rosario

Nichole Sakura as Iris Lee

Natasha Lyonne as Natalie Grant

Tiffany Haddish as Tanya Morris

Riki Lindhome as Sarah Wright

Gillian Jacobs as Dr. Naomi Shaw

I miss the character with a lot of kids who love her big family but have bad luck with partners or arent that picky being in a relation, the sexual but more shy ''motherly'' type. just a thought might be good for dynamics as the other ones are really out going persons in different ways.

Other characters:

Margaret Jones: Elsa's mother who just like her was left to raise her on her own. However, she is cynical and cranky and always belittling the group.

Ned Chambers: Elsa's neighbor who has a happy go lucky attitude and means well. It is heavily implied that he has a crush on her and tries to bind with Todd whether he likes it or not.

Nicole Baines: Elsa's longtime nemesis who runs a similar group session for single moms, rather than single pregnant women, and has three successful adult children to rub it in.

Peter Baines: Nicole's son who runs a tech company.

Billy Baines: Nicole's son who has a successful grocery chain.

Eva Baines: Nicole's daughter who is a successful talent scout.

Vic Walters: Todd's friend who helps him on his app. He is convinced that he has maiesiophilia (pregnancy fetish) and tries to "treat" him.

I honestly think this would work better as a live-action sitcom than a cartoon.

Running gags:
Natalie's belly button piercing that either gets snagged on or magnetizes something. Her hair is always changing from episode to episode.

People think that Todd is a maiesiophiliac, or a player, when he's really just a sweet natured idiot.

Iris getting super emotional.

Elsa being a minor celebrity. She is constantly putting up with half hearted reactions from people and the sheer confusion as to why she chooses to help pregnant women. (This attribute plays into the recurring theme as to how pregnant women are treated as second class citizens).

Naomi's mad scientist habits and her constant experimenting on the others. She and Elsa constantly exchange banter.

Margaret's insults. (ex: "Elsa, get your gang of watermelon freaks out of my basement!")

Nicole belittling Elsa and her career.

Every now and then the babies in their bellies "talk" usually as a cutaway gag. (ex: Natalie: "There's no way I'm gonna subject myself to your ridiculous exercise regiment." / Natalie's belly: "I wanna try!" / Natalie: "Okay fuck it, I'm in.")

No. Animation is better. You can get away with more things. Plus, I'd rather not listen to that obnoxious laugh track

By the end of the first season, all of them give birth as Todd and Maya become a couple. Season two will have Elsa expand her business with Iris becoming her assistant. Tanya invests in Todd's app as Maya hires Sarah as a paid intern.

Things kick off when Maya becomes pregnant again along with Natalie (once again intentionally as she now has a fetish for it) and Naomi (she admits that the first kid was "part one" of her experiment). Plus, three new preggos join them:

Shari Padma: A medical student whose accidental pregnancy she views as an opportunity to further her learning. She becomes friends with Naomi and wants to learn from her.

Erin Bowers: A toughened muscle bound woman who initially claimed to have gotten knocked up, but actually was inseminated. She gets in touch with her feminine side and forms a relationship with Natalie.

Harper Lorens: A trans non-binary who is ready to be a parent. Elsa reluctantly accepts them into the group, but ultimately is seen as "part of the crew" and is more prepared than any of them are, or were, having what resembles OCD.

Season Two episodes:

"Here We Go Again": Elsa is enjoying her newfound success and starts a new group with newcomers Shari, Erin and Harper. Natalie and Naomi decide to get pregnant again, Todd and Maya are expecting again while Tanya, Sarah and Iris show their support.

"Diaper Duty": Tanya opens a nursery and hires Ned to help manage. Maya rejoins the group, despite having married Todd, as they decide to do some baby prep work. Iris wants to make a good impression with Elsa.

"A Baine in the Butt": Nicole challenges Elsa to a community drive while Peter and Todd have a rivalry of their own. Iris ends up having to lead the festivities herself and ends up sharing duties with the ever confident Natalie.

"He, She, They": Todd gets beaten up for Harper and makes the news. While prideful at first, everyone once again starts to get the wrong idea about him. Meanwhile, Natalie and Erin start to grow closer.

"Mad Moms": Shari teams up with Naomi so that she can further her medical studies. While doing the work, Naomi discovers that she is having twins, which concerns her. Meanwhile, a rival nursery opens up across from Tanya's.

"Dumb Brats": In a parody of "Rugrats", babies Conner, Wanda, Tristan, Ivy, Aaron and Ben try to prove the slightly older Angelina that the broom closet has cool things in it. Meanwhile, the group take lamaze for the first time.

"Another Swimsuit Episode": The group go to the beach again to try and relieve stress, but Elsa is frustrated with the concessions, Harper, Erin and Natalie go to war with a family and Todd and Maya think there is a pervert watching them.

"Working Class": Sarah tries to follow everything that Maya does to be a success. Tanya's nursery is prospected to be bought, but Ned thinks it is a bad idea. Naomi and Shari believe they have found a miracle drug that can decrease the rate of miscarriages.

"A Very Pregnant Halloween": The season rolls around as the group get ready with their "pregnant appropriate" (or inappropriate) costumes. Shenanigans ensue when Todd is pulled into his old tricky ways with Vic to egg houses and gets spooked straight by "La Llorona".

"A Very Pregnant Christmas": While Maya and Todd prepare for a traditional nativity play, the rest of the group all voice what they are grateful for this season. Tanya, Sarah and Iris all wonder if they want to have another child.

"Birthing Suite Pt. 1": Maya has a girl named Amy, Erin has a boy named Greg, Shari has a boy named Daveed and Harper has a girl named Chrysanthemum "Chris". Elsa begins to feel that life is slipping by and finally gets intimate with Ned, only to end up pregnant at 52.

"Birthing Suite Pt. 2": News of Elsa's pregnancy gets around as Nicole gloats over the irony, only to learn that her daughter Eva has also gotten pregnant and sides with Elsa. Natalie and Naomi admit to having a fetish for pregnancy as Natalie has a boy named Rocky and Naomi has a boy and girl named Zack and Zoey.

Two new preggos to come:

Sage Wander: A flower child, hippie and vegan who despite her calm demeanor can be passive-aggressive. She has her own ideas of prenatal treatment. (similar character: Sue Randell from "Clarence")

Amaryllis Pike: A goth girl who despite her dark clothes is perky and nice, though she has a habit of sprinkling her sentences with macabre descriptions. (Pretty much any goth character in animation can be a viable source; Raven from "Teen Titans", Mavis from "Hotel Transylvania", Tabitha from "Craig of the Creek", Sam from "Danny Phantom", etc.)

Season Three episodes:

"New Buns in the Oven": A now pregnant Elsa invites Eva to join the group which also includes newcomers Amaryllis and Sage. Natalie decides to become a surrogate as Naomi enters "Phase 3" with a new pregnancy. Iris decides to get pregnant for herself. Todd jumpstarts a new company.

"This Woman's Work": Elsa decides to start a book and hires Sarah to be her ghostwriter while Natalie, Erin and their kids move into a new home. Todd and Maya realize that they have officially entered the workforce while Iris starts listening to Sage's advice.

"Nursery Rhymes": Tanya realizes that she loves singing to kids and creates the persona Terrific Tanya. Meanwhile, the group is having trouble connecting to Amaryllis who despite being nice, has a very macabre sense of humor.

"Room for One More": Naomi learns she is having triplets and asks Shari to move in with her. Elsa has Iris move in with Eva and they learn that they have a lot in common. Hounded by the media, Harper asks to move in with Todd and Maya. Babies meet with babies.

"Swimsuits Yet Again": Elsa rents an entire swimming pool for the whole gang so that they can be left in private. While the adults try to have fun in isolation, all the babies have fun to themselves by trying to break into the "special room".

"Big Brother": Todd comes to the realization that he is going to be 28 years older than his upcoming sibling and tries to prepare for the birthdate. He decides to watch over Conner, Ivy, Ben and Aaron, who are or about to be big siblings.

"Flower Child": Frustrated with being pregnant, Elsa decides to take up Sage's offer of prenatal advice so as to have a smoother pregnancy. Meanwhile, Naomi realizes that Shari is doing most of her work and comes to believe she is falling in love with her.

"All By Myself": Elsa suggests that the group try acting independent as She, Natalie, Naomi, Amaryllis, Sage, Eva and Iris all try to accomplish things on their own, leading to great difficulty. Meanwhile, Todd tells Vic to ask Tanya out after learning she is overworked.

"What a Day That Was": Elsa finally tells the story of when Todd was conceived and why she chose to keep him. Erin wants to try "preggo sex" with Natalie while Eva, Iris and Naomi decide to follow Amaryllis to see if she is with a cult. Sage watches the kids with Tanya.

"The Kick": Sage unexpectedly goes into labor and gives birth to a girl named Poppy, via water birth. Sarah finishes Elsa's book and decides to write her own biography. Amaryllis gives birth to a boy named Dante and the group is relieved to find that he is just a regular child - almost.

"The Pinch": Naomi admits to Shari that she loves her and gives birth. Due to the difficulty, she needs a c-section, but has two healthy boys (Alph and Bertram) and a girl (Gemma). Iris has a very relaxed birth and has a boy named Marcus while Tanya decides to embrace a career as a child entertainer.

"The Push:" Eva gives birth to a girl named Violet and Natalie gives birth to a boy that the parents choose to name Nathan, after her. Elsa goes into labor while giving a speech about what it means to be a mother. Not only did Ned, Vic, Todd, Maya and the kids all come, but so did all the group members and their kids (Iris, Natalie, Tanya, Sarah, Naomi, Erin, Shari, Harper, Eva, Amaryllis and Sage). Elsa has a girl named Olive.
