I can't wait to see the new implications that you have. If I see something wrong on my end or if it is presitant all across the board. I will make sure I'm one of the people to let you know that there is a problem. Everything looks good on mobile from when I first tested it out. All attached images open in a new tab which I really like a lot.

Excellent news. I've finally worked out a way to incorporate batch uploading (highlighting multiple files and uploading in one shot). Once I finish editing the requisite PHP files, a few members will receive invites to check things out and make test posts. By mid-week, I expect to actually begin installing the new script on this domain.

This is an incomplete list of updates already incorporated into the test site (on separate domain):

1. Batch selecting and uploading of images - members will finally have the ability to highlight multiple files (or select multiple files on a mobile device) in one shot, in contrast to selecting each image one-by-one
2. Updated image viewer - gallery function within a thread
3. Simple tagging (@username)

4. Alert system - receive alerts within the site (you have x number of alerts) and, if one desires, by email when:
a) Someone responds to your thread
b) Someone quotes your post
c) Someone tags you
d) Someone rates your thread
e) Someone likes your post

Alerts can be customized, expanded or fully disabled.

5. Report or flag PMs for administrative review (spam, etc.)
6. Broader social features
7. Expanded moderation - more members will be invited to moderate (too much moderation kills a forum, striking a balance will be key - thanks Porkchop)

Under development (probably won't show up immediately):

9. Conversation-style PMs
10. Fully responsive and mobile theme - this is of high priority. The updated script finally allows for this to be done with greater ease. The design you see will resemble this one, at least initially, and won't be responsive. The responsive/mobile design will be tweaked and perfected through July and made the default theme by August. Through this period, it will be accessible as a theme.
11. Dark version of the same theme.


Adding a shoutbox or a small chatroom, embedded on the site, isn't difficult, however concerns about moderation have dissuaded me from implementing such a feature. Is this something you guys would actually use or enjoy?

I like what you have put down. I can't wait to explore all the options that you have incorporated for us on this site. I might even test the mobile version when I have the chance.

As those of you following this thread may have guessed, the update has been postponed to this coming week. I don't expect any further delays as everything basically works on the test site (just need to run through the update process once more and log everything to ensure a smooth transition here).

In the process of wrapping up an interim theme to actually move forward with the update.
