I can definitely see the sarcasm now. I'll own that I misread it, erring on the side of "Well, there goes the Internet being toxic again."

In my defense, I'd point to Poe's Law and the fact that many years ago on Expansion Mansion (not sure how many of you even remember the forums there), there were legitimately 3 or 4 users who were pretty toxic about women's looks. I remember someone once saying that Jessica Alba was a butterface. Jessica Alba! So I was prepared to read it as uncharitably as possible.

That being said, I really hope insulting women doesn't catch on. It's... not my thing, at least. I'm also not certain what "Poppables" means. Sounds like a snack food.

Going further off topic for a bit here...

First of all, I don't remember that.  People would post negative comments from time to time, but I don't remember any serial threadshitters.

Also, negative comments were very verboten, and I always hated how we (I'm a former EM mod/admin) were told to moderate that forum for that specific reason.  It got to the point that anything that could be slightly construed as non-positive had to be reprimanded or nuked.  One of the things that contributed to its untimely decline, IMO.

Love all the bites to the sarcasm. I just let it run a couple of days until everyone caught on. Well played Sir

I mistook sarcasm for what I thought was an example of that common Internet species, the guy with too-high standards. I'd appreciate not having my intelligence insulted, especially for someone to pile on once the dust has settled anyway.
