One thing that has bothered me about the people on this website is that people throw around the word “huge or massive” a lot when describing a belly even though the belly is not even that big. When I open a thread or post and they’re describing a belly as “huge”, a lot of the time the belly is not huge and I get disappointed. I don’t really know how to describe what a huge belly is but when I do see it I know when it is huge or not. I’m just writing this because I want to see if other people agree with me. This is just my opinion and I know people will for sure think differently so feel free to express how you feel about my take.

Some people haven't seen really really big bellies so I guess biggish bellies would be considered huge for them. But everyone has their own differing perception of a pregnant belly so that one reason why. One huge belly may not seem huge to another

To be fair, they may not mean "huge by the standards of pregnant bellies" so much as "huge by the standards of bellies."

I think it all depends on what theyre used to as well. Someone like Renata may be considered huge, thebug, even emilycooper, but how many have seen them? So instead they see someone like Alexa Vega and her pregnant belly and think "My gosh shes massive" but they really dont have anything to compare it with.

Eh, not really a big deal imo. Just use more interesting adjectives for the objectively huge ones!

Planetary, gargantuan, titanic, etc.  Big Grin

That does make sense, I have seen a lot of bellies and determined to myself what belly is huge and what belly is not huge

Most of the time it is just a normal belly imo

It’s because I normally go to the candid threads and so many of them hype up a “huge” belly that they find and then it turns out to be a normal looking bump, but that’s just my opinion. I also wanted to know if others agreed with me
