It took over a year for Patreon to tell me my art style is too spicy for their platform. I received a detailed email a few hours ago from their support team instructing me to go through my page and remove all content that does not comply with their community standards. Well, shit, 95% of what I post is in violation. I'm not going to neuter my art style in order to stay there so I'm just going to shut the entire page down and move on.

With that said, I'm reaching out to the community to see if anyone knows of a good Patreon alternative. If so, please reply to this thread. Also, if you have knowledge on creating member subscription-based websites reply here. I would like to have my own website, to be honest, but I will settle for a good Patreon alternative.

You may have to host the content on your own website, and use Patreon or SubscribeStar for monetization. There aren't any good options for porn unfortunately.

SubscribeStar? They seem to be pro sex work, judging by their guidelines it seems that as long as you’re not a creep and/or asshole they are otherwise fine with whatever you post.

Thanks, guys I really appreciate the feedback. After reading that email from Patreon I felt like I had been punched in the gut. Anyway, I'm going to give OnlyFans a try despite the most recent scare content creators there had to deal with. I think it is the best option (For now).

I have a lot of, uh, porn artist friends who just sell commissions over Twitter and their own personal websites. There's some surprisingly raunchy stuff that Twitter will let you get away with, and if you're confident enough in your work you can make top dollar with commissions. Especially if it's fetish art.

Yeah, I think Twitter and SubscribeStar would also be better places to go.

I think most of the OF crowd is for camgirls, but I can't speak to its validity outside of those uses. My only concern would be OF's recent attempts to go mainstream. I think OF will eventually cave on pressure and get rid of its explicit content.

I heard that a lot of seriously low down in the gutter stuff outside of cam girls was being allowed on OnlyFans which is one of the reasons they panicked and tried to do away with all adult content. My stuff is tame compared to what some people were doing on there. I pretty much do pregnancy/birth fetish stuff, mostly rapid belly expansion, water breaking, lactation and a bit of bondage. A lot of people have OnlyFans accounts so all I have to do is announce on Patreon that I will be moving to OnlyFans and I'm sure my patreons will follow me there. However, I will keep Subscribestar in mind as a plan B.

I can't tell if you also need a place to post your work but there is always pixiv.net. Anything goes there, man. I've seen things... ...and I like a lot of it, but errr, there are definitely things there!

Does pixiv.net provide a way for content creators to make money? Or is it just a place to host content? I pretty much have a place for my content. I've had a Deviant Art account since 2017. I'm at a point now where I want to use my talents to generate income.
