Some of the users here have moving profile pics that either affects the page perfomance due to how big they are, or are kinda on the gross side (Ie, a pregnant asian pooping on a couch). Would it be possible to implement an optional compact viewing setting similar to Gmail or Slack where only the Username is present?

   

Can you take a screenshot and post it here so I can see what you're (occasionally) seeing? Is the layout messed up, or is this more an issue of not wanting to see avatars? The avatars should resize to a pretty small set of dimensions, though some of the file sizes are on the larger size.

Mostly performance since the site will occasionally hang and I end up having to refresh the page several times before it properly loads. Happens on both mobile and PC. Internet seems fast enough since nothing else hangs up. As for avatars they do somewhat make the page more cluttered on mobile, especially when they're moving and the same user is posting consecutivly. I figured an option to show usernames only would be nice and easier on the eyes.

Would you mind posting a screenshot? I'd like to address this and it would help quite a bit -- are you using iOS? Is this more of an issue on the threadlist (subforum) page or actual threads? I'm wondering if this has more to do with the webcam previews.

Sorry for the delay, but the problem has been fixed at least on my PC. At first I thought I had to reinstall Chrome since the latest update was janky. But then I realized It was a video download extension that got curropted after the update.


As for mobile, I'm on Android specifically a Pixel 4a. But the phone is starting to freeze up and crash constantly so I'm assuming the problem is the phone itself and less of the site on my end. I'm going to stick it out as long as I can, but I'm now almost convinced that the error is on my end and not the site.
